Leave that to me... *lol* You'll need to meet up with me before Faire

Great! Now, I've been thinkin' and I believe that I will be happier

Soooo, I need to find a decent, fairly cheap motel or something, near

It's just 2 exits down the 215, about 10 minutes away from site, in

Ack, I'm sorry I missed this thread!
I know what you mean. I'm not *exactly* blond but if anyone ever asked me to
describe myself I always said I had dirty blond hair.
"Ever hear the one..." Yes, ha ha.
This is also the reason I never ever tell anyone I'm half Swedish. Immediately,
the image of a beautiful, buxom blond comes to mind, who isn't all there. I've
actually had people say "Forgive the Swede, she's a little slow." for no reason
other then I'd left the room for five minutes and lost the conversation.
Luckily, it never happens in person. I'm a mongrel, my hair is every color
possible so the dye choices are endless, whoo hoo!

But WHY do they always slink away??? I'm not blonde, but the same

Folks glaze over in response to math, whatever the gender. Example: my
brother was certainly a stand-out as a physics major at our liberal arts
college. He liked our friends, but he could sometimes feel a little lonely
when he wanted some good conversation in the subjects he loved. One sure fire
way to clear the cafeteria table after dinner was for me to start quizzing him
about vectors or debating the true meaning of Schroedinger's Cat. Kids are
really dazzled by the beauty of a well-executed graphic effect or by the
possibility that they could become astronauts when they grow up, but math is
not taught in school as a means to that enjoyable end. So, few understand it.
I'll admit that I'm only on the fringes of science, myself.
By coincidence, a friend just sent me a bunch of subject appropriate quotes:

I'm lucky. My wife is not only beautiful, but also smart--and with a lot more
common sense than I have. Taking pride in a lack of brains, or pretending
to lack them, is something I have never found to be an endearing trait. I
try to avoid such folks.

Don't ask ME, I was talking about my friend, LOL, well, ok, so we were
dating at the time. See I didn't walk away. I just liked laughing at the guy
who insisted on hitting on her. I loved it. I didn't have to buy a drink, the
whole time we were together. I just drank the one's guys sent her.
Which begs the question; If she and I walked in together, why were they
sending her drinks in the first place? Hmmm.... Lounge Lizzards are not too
bright? Maybe that's the answer. Being stupid men, intelligent women threaten
them.

Ah... We've been here before... ;] So just a few points:
a) Vicky, I think you're cute
b) I'm sure your husband knows you are beautiful
c) external beauty is shaped by what's inside; that's why so many times you
can see someone you think is beautiful, and later on say "What did I ever see

better. Or is it just me? ;]

Frankly, I make my entire living because people can't do simple acid/base
titrations, even though they learned them in middle school or highschool. If
they could, their pools would never turn green, and I'd be out of a job. This
lack of math and science skills was encouraging to me, not discouraging.

Looks are more _variable_ with age. In HS, I knew a pair of girls.
One was the smart one, the other was the pretty one. Ran into the
smart one a few years later - almost didn't recognize her, she was
_so_much better looking. If she wasn't attached then, I'd have asked
her out on the spot. Given a choice, I'll take looks _and_ brains.
