I agree you should read it. But the only form of
accountability which will mean anything is if we make
knowledge and the ability to use it the requirements, and
instead of firing teachers who do not teach to the tastes
of the students, we fire teachers who do not teach to the
level of the course involved.
This will also require allowing those who can progress
faster to do it with some means, often just a little
guidance (NOT by educationists) and independent reading.
And those that cannot handle the upgraded courses need
not retention by different tutelage.
The current type of accountability is garbage.
