The following three part series consists entirely of verses from the
Holy Quran about Mary (Mother of
Jesus) including her birth, childhood, personal qualities, and the
miraculous birth of Jesus.
This part explores the life of the Prophet Jesus, his message,
miracles, his disciples and what is mentioned about them in the Holy
Quran.
This part explores the verses of the Holy Quran that talk about God’s
protection of Jesus, his followers, his second coming in this world
and what will happen to him on the day of resurrection.

and Hollywood made a great movie about Jesus called King of Kings
(1961) starring Jeffrey Hunter who went on to play a captain of the
USS Enterprise and, in both dramas, "boldly split an infinitive"!

Splitting the infinitive was a 'no-no' in Roman times, as I understand
it (untranslatable into Latin). As both films were made in Hollywood
English, we all forgive Jeffrey his sins.

The story of Mohammad in the Holy Bible

<Nada. Zip. Jack shit.>

The reason? Than Johnny-come-lately was nowhere to be seen at the time
the Bible was written.

Great song that!
# Johnny come lately
# There's a new kid in town

Got that bit on a cassette.
I wonder who sang it!?

Do you remember Life of Brian where a naughty Israelite was caught writing
Latin graffiti by a Roman (John Cleese) who got him to rewrite if over and
over because he kept getting the grammar wrong?

Love King of Kings - Jeffrey Hunter was very good and the Barabbas story is
clever and the movie looks stunning.

I'm also interested in Mohammad, Messenger of God starring that famous
Muslim, Anthony Quinn, but it never comes on TV.
Never seen that one! :'(

"Mary" appears more often in the Qur'an than in the New Testament.

the Qur'an has a whole chapter entitled "Mary (Maryam)"

Aha! So *that's* where Ms D'Abo from The Living Daylights got her monicker -
a KGB Madonna!

This was not forbidden but impossible, because infinitive verb forms
are single words in Latin, not two words as in English.

Wasn't Mohammad, that's for sure.

<g> Not big on singing, Mo - I'd love to see Anthony Quinn as Mohammad,
Messenger of God - good dancer when he was Zorba the Greek!

If Jeffrey Hunter had started singing

# When I walk in the Garden
# The Garden of Eden
# With a beautiful woman...

in King of Kings, it would have taken away from the drama.
I really like that movie and I'm not even religious!

Muhammad did sing while he was digging a trench with others.

Anthony Quinn played Hamza, an uncle of Muhammad in "The Message".
Muhammad was never depicted.
