Hi, folks :)

I humbly seek your help regarding the topic on Metaphors of War. As a
non-native speaker of English, I'm experiencing some minor problems.

I'm writing a paper (up to 10 pages) on metaphors. Already covered
theoretic and part of paper where I analyses extracts from
papers/articles. Experiencing some difficulties with Lakoff's way of
categorizing.

ARGUMENT IS WAR
Your claims are indefensible.
He attacked every weak point in my argument.

Can you help me list some other metaphors, say 10-15 in total from every
aspect of life?

Thanks in advance! :)

A metaphor is a way of communicating an idea while not proposing it
directly. If one idea is a metaphor for another, then it somehow
expresses the idea, but without definitely representing it. In
general, a metaphor is a symbol of an idea that does not correctly
propose it.
