The search is on to find a way to breed cattle and sheep that produce
less methane gas.
The average sheep produces 20 litres of methane gas per day and
climate scientists claim that sheep flocks and cattle herds produce
significant greenhouse gas that are adding to climate change concerns.
The CRC for Sheep Industry Innovation have begun looking at how to
breed sheep that produce less methane gas while hoping to unlock the
science behind how sheep produce the greenhouse gas.
Researches told Daily Planet Media they will look at selecting sheep
that produce less methane gas while still producing quality wool.
CRC professor James Rowe considers that an examination of the genetic
variation of animals could help breeders select sheep that produce
less gas.

Got to curb those "Greenhouse Emissions", need the methane!!
Need Fart collection bags for everyone, you have to do it,
to show that you are in the fight to save the Earth. Strap that
bag on your back and plug that tube where the sun don't shine.
Make it your badge of honor, let us see who is really commited

All you Eco types, show us your commitment!!

Actually, cattle burp most of their methane. It's part of their digestive
process. So, likely to be a tricky one to fix that.
