industries in the southern equatorial oceans will be among the hardest
hit by imploding climate change.
A report from Australia's CSIRO has detailed the devastating effects
it believes climate change will bring to Australia's commercial
fishing and aquaculture industries.
The fishing industry has been told to be ready to adapt to any sudden
climate change,
The CSIRO report said Tasmania's salmon industry worth $270million a
year will need to take measures to adapt to climate change and keep
around 1,000 people employed.
"We need to breed fish and salmon that which are more resistant to
high temperatures, "Pheroze Jungalwalla from the Tasmanian Salmon
Growers told Daily Planet Media.
Jungalwalla said that when it gets too warm many fish become
uncomfortable, eat less, succumb to more diseases and can become
stressed.
