I tried to install some sort of water bottle device years ago, and one
had to punch so many holes and make so many connections I was afraid that if
I fixed my car, I would very likely break it. Not cost effective.
If I tried something new, a mechanic would have to do it for me.
I saw a post on a blog which said the guy bought the plans and they were
very poor and difficult to understand so he felt that he had been scammed.
Just ask yourself this:
If it was so easy to get that result, wouldn't the manufacturers
already be doing it?
Back in the middle of the century (yes I'm that old) cars would show
an improvement in performance in the rain or on high humidity days.
That was back when squeezing the last bit of energy out of fuel was
not a priority. That effect no longer occurs as engines are
engineered for optimum use already.

Don't think it's so much about hard or easy:

So why isn't he famous and a millionaire. He has obviously invented
the world's first perpetual motion machine.
Again: If it worked, it would be in production autos. The engineers
bust thier butts trying to get a minor improvement in efficiency and
if all it took was one of those kook machines they would be on it like
stink on s***.

Uh, cause he was murdered by Big Oil!
Nothing denser than a true believer wanting a scam to be true.

Do you get paid in shillings?
Is that supposed to mean something in this discussion?
You started out asking if it was a scam. The answer is YES. What is
your problem?

What is yours?

Here is my take in this: thirty years ago, we experimented with
injecting itomized water into the cylinders. It did save some gas and
lowered NOx emissions by lowering combustion temperature. BUT(!!!)
after a few thousand miles, the cylinder block had to be replaced due
to damage caused by cavitation.
With this system - and I must specify that I had not tried it - I
contacted apparently the original "inventor" and requested the test
data. Particularly, I was interested in combustion speed and
temperature. First - if happens too fast - will not only reduce power
but will brake piston rings and lands due to detonation while the
second will burn the valves. I even offered them to sell me their
system so that we could test it. They never even bothered to respond!
This tells me that this is a SCAM!
Now, making that assumption simply because some stinky ford had not
stolen the idea wouldn't be smart because... well, because it's ford
but my experience have proven - at least to me - that these people are
crooks, and in the best case-scenario - meaning their "system" does
save gas - it will likely destroy your engine.
He's just hoping for a miracle... but today's miracles mostly happen
to be lousy.
