Hello,

Is this the beginning of the end for Britney Spears? This and some
other recent reports have me seeing shades of "Behind the Music"
downfall written all over them.

The Below is from Pollstar.com. Also go to their article archives for
more on Britney's other recent concert woes.

Have a nice day, :)

Mexico, Britney Says She's Sorry
Updated 00:12 PDT Tue, Jul 30 2002

Britney Spears' trip to Mexico was brief yet tumultuous.

When she arrived at the airport in Toluca (40 miles outside Mexico
City) for the Mexican leg of her tour, she was reportedly photographed
flipping the bird to the photographers gathered en masse to get a shot
of her.

Later, to clear up any confusion, she said the gesture was not meant
for her fans but rather for the paparazzi, who she claimed nearly
caused an accident with her car.

If any of her fans were offended by her gesture, it wasn't evident the
night of July 27 when she played to 50,000 fans at the outdoor Foro
Sol stadium.

Unfortunately, on July 28, she brought the curtain down early on what
was her second night in the city and last gig of the tour. Britney
pulled the plug during the fifth song and told the audience, "I'm
sorry Mexico. I love you. Bye," Mexico City daily newspaper Milenio
reported.

The audience reportedly erupted into jeers and boos and some threw
Spears paraphernalia onstage and chanted "fraud, fraud," Milenio said.
In its article, the paper didn't mention a reason for the show's early
end.

But sources told POLLSTAR the sole reason was extreme weather. A
summer thunderstorm moved in on the show and lightning apparently
struck very close to the outdoor stadium. The source said Britney
pulled the plug because she feared for the safety of the audience and
the show's crew.

The following day, she approved the promoter, O.C.E.S.A. Presents, to
refund the cost of the tickets to the concert-goers.

***************
Bad storm being the reseason to shut down a show? Who knows.

First she beraks up with Justin Timberlake, power goes out during the
Texas show, people always poking fun at her, and not this?
Ohhhooooooo.

This news will certainly not be good for BMG since the latest happenings over
there:

BIG SHAKEUP at the very top of Bertlesmann of Germany today. CEO and chairman
Thomas Middelhoff got tossed out on his ear after a feud with Bertlesmann
family members. He's been replaced by Gunter Thielen.

"BMG Records is a division of Bertlesmann and one of the reasons cited in the
firing was BMG's continuing financial losses, despite having Elvis Presley and
Britney Spears on the label. Insiders were "hinting" maybe a drawing back of
efforts to make BMG Music a winner. ??? Certainly BMG Music will be under
tremendous pressures to turn it around."

It'd be nice if everyone quoted their source when posting .....re; *CHAPTER TWO
THE DEAL*......HELLO?? Sue!

God forbid. She's my talentless little pop goddess.
Look at her!
Straight out of special Ed and just gorgeous.

I just read an article that stated that Britney's father was shooting at
fans who tresspassed on his property to see where she grew up.

I prefer lil Christina, not so goody goody. I think cute lil Britney has
tremendous potential of becoming fat.

I'd still take lil Christina any day of the week. At the beginning of summer
the boys and I were discussing this over a few beers at our local hangout. We
pretty well got the whole bar involved, Christina or Britney..it was pretty
well split down the middle.

Britney isn't goody goody. That's just her image. Which is starting to
slowly fall away. She is not a virgin, she has been known to smoke, now
giving the finger to the photographer. Which I don't blame her for, they are
good for nothing. I am not a fan of Britneys music but she is hot as hell.
And I would choose her over the other one in a minute. She has a great face
and great body.

And she is a big Elvis fan. That does not hurt. A hot looking babe who is an
Elvis fan. How many of them do you see around?

And she looks damn good in a jumpsuit. The only one other than Elvis.

I'm still trying to forget the Osmond's in jumpsuits. Nothing good in that
image.
