Okay,

Maybe not in all his "bad" concerts, but the 1976-1977 period was more
or less touch and go -- in fact if he had "retired" maybe he would have
lived or at least died with more grace. I mean most Elvis historians judge
1974-1977 to be what only occurred really during 1976-1977.

Lets face it thought. I've listen to 1977 Elvis concerts and some of
them are really out of sight --- they're not the hot concerts from the first
few years -- but still they were great!

Let me tell you something. I know I'm a "new guy" to the Elvis world and
all, but I just bought Moody Blue. Man, was I impressed! Unchained
Melody, Moody Blue, and Hurt showcase a damn fine voice, in top form.
That's what I think. I felt the "Elvis Magic" listening to them.

Then again, I love Clambake, so....

Moody Blue (Which was both Moody Blue and From Elvis Presley Bouvard,
Memphis) was the last great Elvis Presley STUDIO album. The live dubs are
cool as well -- I like UnChained Melody -- but its overdubbed a little too
much. If You Love me is okay. Little Darlin sounds great on the dub (the
BOPS in the background are fun).

That was under controlled situations and the live parts were all Elvis
having his moments.

Wouldn't Elvis In Concert be considered the swan song -- although it was
sent to stores after his death.
