A man about 70 years old who was passing Bibles to children
around Vista del Mar Middle School in San Clemente was reported
to the Sheriff's Department by an onlooker who said it was
"inappropriate" for him to do that.

No action was reported. The incident occurred shortly before 3
p.m. Wednesday on the 1100 block of Avenida Talega.

A 70-year-old hanging around a school? And you think it was an atheist
that reported him?

It's not appropriate because the bible includes sexual content that
deserves a "XXX" rating.

DISHONEST and SUBMORONIC BIGOT, BILL TAYLOR,
**FORGED** "No One" <no...@nowhere.com> !

The REAL poster calling himself "No One" has been AWAY from
Usenet for several weeks or months -- and he is a FAIR-minded
EGALITARIAN who stands up for and defends civil & human rights
and personal liberties for ALL people.

He is the OPPOSITE of the sewer-rat-turd BIGOT, Bill Taylor,
who is such a LOWLIFE that he **besmirches** "No One's"
image (or TRIES to; hopefully, most people in these groups know
that these are forgeries, and KNOW what a total and ignorant
a-hole "Taylor" is. "Taylor" -- the craven COWARD who claims
that's his name, knowing that there are tens of thousands of
"Bill Taylors," just in the USA alone.

Few people could possibly be bigger LOSERS than he is!

<*FORGED* swill flushed>

**FORGERS** have ZERO credibility!

The ACTUAL "No One," as I just pointed out above, is an EGALI-
TARIAN who **never** would have posted any of the asinine hate-
SWILL that the LOWLIFE "Bill Taylor" has been spewing/ PARROTING
under that alias.

The REAL "No One," even though using an alias, has WELL-estab-
lished his reputation for years in here as an unwavering egalitarian,
and by trying to BESMIRCH him as "Taylor" has been doing so IDIOT-
ICALLY and hatefully, "Taylor" has been REMINDING everyone that
he is utterly worthless POND SCUM and a DREG on society.

HERE is a *typical* FAIR-minded post by the ACTUAL person who
until a few months ago regularly posted in here as "No One." It's from
2005 -- three years before "Proposition Hate" in California... complete

After dying in the California state assembly, a bill legalizing
same-sex marriages is back to life. See

<http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2005/07/12/state/n182826D97.DTL>

for details.

The parliamentary procedure used is too complex to describe in 10
sentences or less, so just ignore that man behind the curtain. :-)
Meanwhile the religious nuts are having a fit, with much wailing and
gnashing of teeth. The hope is that it will pass the state senate and
have a better chance of passing in the assembly with (a) more time to
convince assembly-persons and (b) a state-senate precedent.

It WAS inappropriate to do that. Most schools have rules about who can
be on school property during school hours (to protect the kids!), as
well as rules about salesmen - which extends to prosthelytizing.

If he wants to pass out bibles, he can do that at a college - where
the kids are old enough to tell him "no". It's not his job to teach
other people's kids about religion by shoving a misogynist, violent,
and sometimes racist book into their hands.

It is. It's extremely inappropriate.

Imagine handing out the Book of Mormon to a
bunch of Lutheran children. The parents would
go mental.

Imagine handing out Catholic bibles to the
children of fundamentalist Baptists. Their
parents would go mental.

Imagine handing out the British re-write of the
bible, the King James version, to Orthodox or
Catholic children. Their parents would go mental.

Imagine handing out any Christian bible to
Jewish, Muslim or even Hindu kids....

You'd have to be a sociopath to not understand
that there are many DIFFERENT bibles out
there, and the various Christian sects all have
their version.... not to mention all the non
Christians.

The sidewalk and boulevards around a school are
public property and NOT school property except
maybe in gated communities and such.

Some old fart handing out little Gideon's
hasn't created an uproar about using the
"wrong version" for the denomination of
a kid have they?

It would take a bitter bitter rabid atheist to complain.

Most people would see the complainer as a jerk.

NOT exactly a PR win for atheists....

Or, rather, it's about an "old fart" hanging out at a school, period.

So, your evidence is.....?

Your evidence that atheists were involved at all?

Don't know if the person who reported him was an atheist or not but I
certainly would object to some total stranger [unrelated to the
school] approaching my child with a book and attempting to engage him
in any conversation, especially over religion. It is completely
inappropriate for him to be doing that with children that young.

So no probs if I wanted to set up, say a beer 'n' titty magazine
stand on same said school sidewalk? Both are far more
beneficial, physically and mentally, to growing young bodies
and minds than any brand of religious poison.

When people tried to engage me in that kind of conversation when I was
an adult it still felt inappropriate.
