lets start with glaze, glaze is a transperant liquid mix that you blend with
paint. When you mix the two it makes the paint spred uneven so it gives the
effect of light and dark, when you put two colors on a wall they blend
together to give deapth and a texture. for example if you use black & green
you could have a marble look, or blue & grey would make clouds.

More about glaze. Learning how to mix the glaze is very important, because
to much paint and not enough glaze will equil a blachy paint job not a faux
finish. So you want to mix at least 50/50 but it still could vary depending
on the color of paint. That's why i recomand getting the video because you
will see how it is done on 16 different faux techniques.

painting yourself and it's fun! & relaxing.
