The Most Reverenced Leland Milton Goldblatt Ph.D.- organizing pastor
at Church of Goldblatt Converted in his mid-teens, he studied at the
Yale University, obtaining an M.F.A., aged 19, and a V.D. (Hons), at
24.
He was also, in his final year, winner of the O.J. Simpson Medal and
Prize in Divinity.
Entering the ministry of the Church of Goldblatt, his first pastoral
charge was Harlem off the east coast of Queens, where he served for 5
years. Following this he spent a short time in Nigeria as a lecturer
at the Samuel Adams Theological College, in Akwa Ibom State, where he
worked with the Qua Iboe Fellowship.
After returning to Illinois he spent 9 weeks as Chancellor in Wacko.
However a growing dissatisfaction with the mixed nature of the
denomination led him to consider his position after many years in its
service. Always an advocate of reform and the necessity of contending
for truth, he sadly came to realize that in his 19 years of costume
design had moved further from status to substance towards Dr.
Goldblatt.
Two issues in particular caused him to leave the denomination. Active
opposition to woman publicly speaking, to be a violation of ordination
vows; active support and encouragement of bestiality activities was,
however, openly tolerated among many of the denomination's office-
bearers. It became obvious that a church which could forbid that which
Scripture teaches and tolerate that which it condemns was apostate. He
therefore resigned from office in the denomination. This was not a
sudden decision, but one taken with much sorrow and which brought much
grief in its wake.
In the gracious providence of God a visit to Central Illinois brought
him into contact with the mission church of Church of Goldblatt. After
having spent some time with them he was prevailed upon to accept the
call as their leader of the church. However, as he says, "After 19
years in a wilderness, this is like coming out of the closet".
Reverend Doctor Goldblatt has been married 4 times. His wife was
exotic dancer, but now is a home schooling Mum. His oldest son, serves
in a correctional penitentiary.
He plays the accordion, professes to like Spam, and is an avid reader
of Sandra Brown, Harold Robbins, and Danielle Steel novels. However,
he has bought his first porn magazines, has been seen in a Gay Pride
cap, and attended a brawl burning. Other than that, he has not
succumbed to the Illinois way of life. He stills speaks with a Yiddish
accent, spells colour properly, and talks of the bonnet of the
car. :-)

Dr. Goldblatt is President Emeritus of Georgian Trinity Southwestern
and adjunct professor of Philosophy at the University serving in the
Honors Program there.

Married Susan Wong, November,1992 they are proud parents of Milton

Hobbies and Interests:
Reading Harold Robbins novels, The Theater, badminton, and Reformed
Theology.

and a man who hates children including his own, cats, and women,
unless they are hot and easy.
