State regulators and regional accreditors are investigating the
SCUPS/NCU shell game. SCUPS is using NCU
assets/students/infrastructure to support California BPPVE approval;
NCU is using SCUPS assets/students/infrastructure to support NCA
accreditation.

DETC was not fooled, turned the matter over to regulators. Nothing is
what it seems; entire house of cards may collapse soon as school
administration hits panic mode.

Recent email now in hands of investigators:

What a crock of crap. Are you the last person in the world to know
that SCUPS and NCU are related? They are both reasonably good schools,
understanding that SCUPS is unaccredited. Go to the vet and get
yourself fixed so you don't pass it on to another generation.

Ever hear of Tino De Angelis and the salad oil swindle?

--- quote ------------------------------------------------------------
For more than five years Allied created fictitious commodities which
could be traded on paper and pledged as security against loans. For
more than five years unwitting financiers wheeled and dealed with ever
vaster amounts of nonexistent oil in an outsized version of the old
Hong Kong sardine dodge. (During a famine in China, a Hong Kong
merchant sold a sardine can filled with mud to another merchant, who
sold it at a profit to a third merchant who sold it at a profit to a
fourth. When merchant No. 5 discovered the fraud and complained, No. 4
had a comeback: Why did you open the can?)

In Allieds case, there was interest for the bankers, commissions for
brokers and profits for everyone in the blizzard of hypothecated paper,
as long as no one thought to take a close look. When the lid did come
off, almost by chance, financiers holding receipts for 1.8 billion
pounds of vegetable oil found only about 100 million pounds of oil,
fats, petroleum, sludge and some still-unidentified substances in the
tanks. (In fact, the total capacity of all of Allieds tanks was only
about one third of the amount of the imaginary oil.)

Hecht is the education version of De Angelis. Two schools, but even
combined not enough for a full one. Are you complaining because
somebody is opening the can? Enjoy your mud.

SCUPS has been around for a long time, and, it is state approved. NCU
is fully accredited and is a decent 4th tier school.

Where is this information about investigations coming from? The DETC
doesn't give out any information about why applicants don't get
approved. I have seen no proof that either the state or regional
accreditor is doing anything in the way of an investigation.

Hecht has some bitter enemies. This is probably just another smear
campaign. We shall see if this is really true and goes somewhere or if
it is just another attempt to damage him and his schools.

Bear should know the dirt. He has played in enough pig pens. Of course
he much prefers to point at the dirt on others rather than the stains
he carries. If he can unload on Hecht I'm sure he will. Gossip and
innuendo has played an important part in his guides.

Q: Isn`t Hecht a Jew? Why would Klempner Bear rat out a fellow yid?

A: ``(W)hen there`s money to be made, whether in selling books or
pushing drugs, Jews will even turn on each other.``

Q: Everyone knows the biggest player in the diploma mill scam arena is
the Russian/Jewish mafia. Why aren`t the feds going after them instead
of manufactured home dealers in eastern Washington?

A: ``Jewish organizations continued to lobby the Justice Department to
downplay the threat posed by the Russian mob. `The Russian Mafia has
the lowest priority on the criminal pecking order,` admitted FBI
spokesman Joe Valiquette during a 1992 interview....

``The Italians and the Sicilians thought they had the fix in, but the
Jews trumped them with a bigger fix. In the sort of country America has
become since the Second World War, any criminal organization run by
intelligent men with hundreds of billions of dollars at their disposal
to corrupt the system -- and with the protection of the mass media --
can`t be stopped by governmental action.``

More about Hecht`s Balin scam here:

http://www.ed-oha.org/cases/1990-84-sp.html

Hecht stuck the Department of Education and taxpayers for $172,469.05,
lenders for $76,167.00, then skipped on $500,000 court ordered fines.

SCUPS has been evaluated and is State Approved.

NCU is Regionally Accredited.

Both types of outside evaluations provide value and usage to the
students. Insults and references to other things have no effect on the
recognition that these two schools have.

I would say the best examples of crap would be L.I.A.R. and Millard
Fillmore, about $250,000 (in today's money).

I don't recall either Greenwich or Fairfax ever being State Approved or
Regionally Accredited, but what can you expect. That's why they were
put in Louisiana and Hawaii, it was easier and cheaper.

Hecht 2 Bear 0
