Dave figures to accelerate the attrition somewhat, find more excuses to
replace the Hs. Since nobody has been mailing the old Hs back anyway
they also decide to change policy and facetiously just tell people to
throw them away. So somebody said "we should do an information piece on
this to cut down the calls we're already getting and so we don't get
more as we accelerate the process."
So they do this 222 piece.
But none of this is any big deal at all.
No card swap (except a _continuation_ of the gradual attrition). No mass
mailing, just a staggered, scattered few as people are switched from H
to HU for a variety of reasons. No change at all in the data stream is
contemplated near term. The language about your card not working within
a few weeks of the swap simply means YOUR PARTICULAR H CARD, which will
be blacklisted, NOT any change in the data stream itself.
So, no swap, H card still in the data stream. Net effect =zero.
Was there anything in the 222 piece that contradicts this
interpretation? If not, might be a good time to buy some cheap Hs.
