That's right......a little is OK, but only a little..
To be totally honest, I usually have just one drink with my pills,
whether benzo or whatever else (The only exception to this is
Darvocet, because that will instantly make me throw up). This seems to
be just enough to "help" the buzz...
But,
I will relate a story from my younger days......
Once I was home on a weekend and apparantly was a little bored, so I
helped myself to a bottle of wine. Shortly after consuming the bottle,
a friend of mine stopped by bearing gifts: Xanax.....the 2 mg bars! Of
course I was delighted with this prospect, so I happily gobbled up one
of the bars and pocketed a few for later....
I have no further memory of that evening, but the next morning I woke
up with a towel in the bed next to my head and more all over the floor
next to the bed..Apparantly I had passed out and then got sick all
over myself. I didn't believe my husband (this was my 1st hubby) when
he told me that I had thrown up, because that is not an event that
usually escapes my memory. But once I saw the pink-stained carpet
(from the White Zinfendel, I'm assuming) where my husband had tried to
clean up the mess, I couldn't deny it.
My guardian angel was watching over me that night. I consider it a
small miracle that I didn't aspirate my vomit and die!
Now of course, I've learned my lesson and KNOW that benzo's and
alcohol are not to be combined in such a manner. I'm just glad I'm
alive to know / share this stuff!
*puff* *puff* :o)
