Scene opens with me being the bride at a festive wedding. I am
sitting next to my future husbands little brother whom looks to be 7
or 8 yrs old. We are being served food. They put a tray of food in
front of me and the boy is worried he will have nothing to eat, so I
tell him I will share mine. The tray is round and flat with a 1/2inch
rim made of some kind of reeds., There is a large leaf covering most
of the tray, I see no silverware, so guessing we will use our
fingers. There is molded rice, and a pile of leaves looking some what
like raw spinach but larger and something that is the size and color
of green olives but with the end coming to a point. Guessing this is
the first course( or salad). I see my future husband across the room
talking to another Indian. He is tall and well fed looking but I feel
nothing for him. Wondering how soon I will get pregnant. This
marriage was arranged by my father ( not sure if it was by astrology
or not) whom is getting something in return, thats for sure. I am
wondering why an Indian would want to marry an American girl. The
scene jumps and the dinner is over, tables cleared and we are all
sitting at tables(wedding party and invited guests.)
One of the guest has a wicker basket upside down on the table with 3
different colored kittens under it. These are a gift for one of his
grand children. He takes out one of the kittens, starts being mean to
it and a woman in a Sarong behind me tells him not to be so mean, it
is just a kitten, but he keeps on ignoring her and this upsets me and
I wake up.
