Three Cats

In this short dream I find myself on the porch of a house. The
porch is gray, old worn wood that has never seen paint. The are two
rugs piled up on this porch. One rug has a floral design but mostly
brown. Other rug is a dull green almost worn out. There are 3 cats
resting on these two rugs. Two dark cats with one fatter than the
other and the third cat is very skinny, with oranges stripes. Two of
the cats move when I reach for the rugs, but the orange cat stays put,
so I have to push it, so it goes down the steps, but part way down it
fall off and lands in snow on the side of the steps. One of the cats
has thrown up between the two rugs and I realized I got some of this
on my foot the day before. In the mean time the orange cat is trying
to get back up on the steps, but is too weak to pull or jump up. This
scares me and I wake up.


Note: In real life I have 3 really close friends and these 3
cats seem to be a symbol of them. The orange cat is a red haired
female. She has almost stopped eating, quite her medication and wants
to die. She has been in the hospital/ therapy to no avail for over 2
years now. I am afraid she is going to die and am helpless to do
anything about it.
