gathering of my friends family for his brother's graduation ceremony.
im invited but miss going with him in his car coz i had to get something
from the house.
i end up crammed in the back seat of his aunts car with her kids.
theyre concerned that im uncomfortable and tell them not to worry..
ive been in more cramped cars with CO2 leaking in them before.
get to church where grad was to take place. preacher says everyone has
a part to play in it.
we are lined up in queue and told to walk to a pulpet for a sound
check of the microphone. then we requeue on the side.
preacher has us all sit on bleachers and starts talking. i see jeeps
pull up outside the building full of UN troops. they are heavily armed.
they troops shoot and i hit the floor. everyone is getting ripped to
bits with bullets. play dead, dont move, dont breath!
troops come in to check for living. they see one guy near me still
alive and kill him. the commander makes sport of his dead body
and poses it on top of me in a sexually suggestive way..laugh laugh.
still i play dead.
they leave. i get up and run outside and find i am in italy.
how the heck did i get here! narrow streets. cobblestones.
everyone talking italian except one voice in my head that i hear.
"who are these people...wonder what their names are... i can talk
LOUDER THAN YOU CAN!...'
i see some merchants at a fruit and veg stand and ask in
itallian "sono americano, non capisco litaniano. lei capiche linglese?
i am lost". that means i am american and dont speak italian. do you
speak english?
i wake up much confused. can anybody tell me what this stuff might
mean? its gotta have some meaning in there.

Before you buy.
Alright, you want to test my abilities by giving me less to go on? I
can still hack it.

Crammed refers to an introversion. Not even introversion so much as
passiveness. CO2 is most commonly known as what is exhaled. So the
basic symbolism of CO2 is the opposite of fresh air. This
stale/freshness always ALWAYS refers to ideas. Thus the cramped-ness,
which may also be symbolic of lack of choice. If you don't feel that
you have a choice, what to do, think or say, you might feel cramped,
dying for fresh air. Do you see what I'm saying? I could paint a
clearer picture if only you'd given me more details...

That the graduation takes place in a church tells us what the symbol of
graduation is about. It's a spiritual evolution kind of thing.
Spiritual and religious are not the same thing.

I'm curious about what these guys are. UN are famous for being a
peacekeeping force. So their agressive behavior is out of character,
not to mention unprovoked. Obviously, they are the opposition to
graduation. There are always two forces struggling within the
individual.

This is, for you, the worst part of the dream. This is a clear
indication that you have improvements to make. You are at the whim of
larger forces, and they're laughing at you, because although you're
pretending to be dead, they know you're alive.
The dream tells you clearly and in no uncertain terms that a beneficial
course of action would be for you to make a stand. The dream suggests
to you that your culture of death, whatever thoughts you have
cultivated, whatever obsessions you have allowed to rule you, whatever
pessimism or cynicism you have subscribed to -- and for WHATEVER
reason -- these thoughts don't serve you.
I don't judge you. Our human culture, our society's values are far
wierder and less serving than the ones I see in this tiny fragment of
your dream.

Here again is the theme of being dominated. It is not necessary. At
one time I felt as you did. People spoke their ideas and thoughts and
they didn't sound quite right. But they spoke without any hints of
self-doubt, so I believed them.
Now, I see that they spoke without any self-doubt because they were
ignorant, not because they were wise. And now I realize that my own
truth should never have compromised itself in the first place. So too
do I wish that you -- and everyone on the earth -- realize this, that
there is no need to consult any other authority but your highest self,
your highest mind, your most beneficial and noble thought.
That voice was God. Don't get to thinking that God would never talk to
you, because that's not true. God talks to everyone, every day, even
about trivial matters. In the dream state, it is EASY and EFFORTLESS
to hear Him.
I wonder, did he say "Wonder what their names are." as a directive, or
is this a cut off form of "[I] wonder what their names are".

It does have meaning. Don't be disheartened by anything that I say.
People are most curious about their negative dreams than they are about
their positive ones, and when positive ones do make it to dejanews, I
am less likely to say anything, because those people don't need my help.
This is a really trying time. Thousands of years of bad ideas in
western and eastern culture are finally accumulating. To be born at
this time means to challenge yourself, because for the first 20 or 30
years, you'll believe what society tells you, and we see that society
discourages that you act on your own authority, because society wants
power! It wants power in the form of consumerism.
Act on your own authority. And correct yourself based on your own
experiences. Remember the prolouge to Walden Pond, "I went to the
woods to suck the marrow out of life, so that, when it came to die, I
would not find out that I had never lived."
Dreams come in the interest of life!
Good luck

>gathering of my friends family for his brother's graduation ceremony
This could pertain to a life change, most likely yours, although you see it as
a spectator.
>i end up crammed in the back seat of his aunts car with her kids.
Being in the back seat of a vehicle might mean that you feel that you are not
quite in charge of your life's direction (not in the driver's seat)
>get to church where grad was to
take place
>everyone has
>a part to play in it.
To me, the graduation and the parts to play are symbolic of life itself..you
know the world a stage and all of us play our parts.
Being lined up and directed seems to signify the lack of control you might feel
in your own situation..
Are you a student bound to a schedule?
Are you an employee at the mercy of a supervisors schedule?
The UN troops and the shooting may just symbolize the fact that you may be
facing adult life, responsibility, and that means facing up to mortality.
Italy? LOL that one is a mystery!!
But again you are LOST and looking for direction.
Do you see a sort of pattern emerging in this dream?
To me it seems to be about the direction your life is taking, and how much
control you feel you have over it.
Sometimes we reach a point in our life and say "how the heck did I get HERE?"
Hope this helps,
Teresa
Five pointed star, symbol of man. Mankind, emotions, being human...
Joke
> i dreamed of a red burning 5 pointed star on my wall can anyone tell me
> what this means
was the 1./ 5th point up or downwards?
is it more like a sign or an entrance?
oliver
It's a symbol used in witchcraft and magic, and some other occult traditions,
it's used to invoke gods. In a more general way, as one person responded, it
represents something more general to do with mankind as in the star the wise
men followed or something like that. I sometimes see a star in my minds eye and
I think it's because I poked about in alt.magick a bit too much.
