Scared of hights dream

(back ground info) I actually am scared of hights but I'm gradually
getting over them so idk what this dream means so yeah on to the
dream......
(Dream) I was walking up the stairs to a checkerboard floor when I got
there I walked to the edge and the floor started shaking and the two
older girls (who I don't know) look back at me ( who had a look of
pure horror on my face) like what's wrong but I shake my head and walk
back to the steps but they are gone in there place is a pole but I
walk of the edge anyway and catch my self on the pole.... And then i
wake up....(after dream) I didn't wake up like it was a nigh are or
any thing but it does kind of freak me out .... So what does this
dream mean?!?!??

It seems like you are bailing out of a harmful or difficult situation,
as the ground begins to shake. The pole is a fast way to bail out,
used by firemen. The question is what this checkerboard floor means.
Maybe the floor pattern is associated with something in your real
life, which could hint at the meaning. The checkerboard, of course, is
a very game-oriented symbol. Maybe it signifies that you shouldn't
partake in this "game" anymore. The older girls are perhaps
comfortable with it, to be pawns in the game, but you aren't. (Pure
speculation.)
