Has anyone claimed to have the ability to dowse
for oil, either on site or using a map or both
(both would be using a map and then zooming in
on site)?

apparently produces the oil in the first place.
If you take the crude grade of the algea and burn it, its a more better heat
and fuel source than coal.
You dowse for water because of the geomantic emanations. Over time you do
not need the dowsing rods you can
feel it with your "gut". Hence the HUN of Hunyuan. The yuan of heaven and
the hun of earth, ie. dew mantle connecting
with the yuanqi of your gut.
