A Documented case of religious
freethinking in times of religious
sensationalism.
so i hear you created your own religion.
well, I figure if God is everything then I have a intrinsic right to
define it for myself.
and what would that be?
Ok, God is a Gestalt. Made up of two things. First, let's say there's
this substance that is infinitely pliable, but alone it's little more
than a lump of clay. The second is something called "consciousness",
but alone consciousness has no substance. Now these two things come
together and the consciousness starts forming and building the
substance. And because the Substance is infinitely pliable; it can
become infinitely complex. Which is where we come from.
and in this context we can finally understand how god can be
everything because this is very easy to understand, even from a
pragmatic stance.
So how is your belief applicable?
well, my beliefs don't begin and end with that fairly simplistic
proposition. But even within that framework you could say because you
and I also have consciousness we are able to manipulate the substance
as well. By now it's assumed the reader knows 'the Substance' means
'Reality'.
So how are we able to manipulate the Substance, or "Reality" the way
God does?
For that we'd need an interface program. I'm using computer lingo
because through the advancements of physics we are coming to
understand the universe/Reality is made up of information rather than
particles.
So this interface program?...
Could be anything. It could be a totally personal construct or someone
else's. Obviously I chose to create my own. By which I mean religion.
So what is your religion?
well, we're getting ahead of ourselves - because my religion is based
on the preceding propositions it's necessary to tie up any loose ends.
Someone reading this may wonder where the substance came from, who
created it and likewise with consciousness.
ok, so what are the answers?
I have no idea.
oh. So why should anyone care what your religion is?
Intellectual Curiosity? It's not like anyone else can answer "where
did reality come from?" in a satisfactory way. Although there are some
very compelling arguments for the simulation theory.
Right. So maybe you can't answer the BIG questions. But what about the
continuity problems in this very tract! First, you said reality is a
'substance', but you also say reality is Information!
These are just words! a word can't explain what a thing "is"! Tell a
blind person the sky is blue!
You seem to be becoming hysterical over some fairly simple questions.
Oh, you think they're simple, do you? Where do you think reality came
from?
I'm not the one who created my own religion!
And you think that makes you better than me?!
I didn't say that!
So because I invented a religion I'm supposed to have all the answers?
I didn't say that either, but if you're going to present it to the
public a little coherence would be nice. Just calm down.
Fine fine.
So, just start from the beginning.
Alright. For your information - in order to communicate foreign
concepts something called an "analogy" is often used. Analogies break
down a concept to its fundamental properties and substitutes confusing
phrases for laymen phrases.
So you're just a liar?
uhh, not really. At the beginning of this tract "God" was broken down
to its fundamental properties but instead of saying 'cascading quantum
encoded bits' I said "substance" then I likened the Substance to a
formless lump, and "consciousness" is already a arbitrary label
slapped onto something that is - ironically - beyond comprehension, at
least right now.
The tragedy (and in some cases, Comedy) of human history is some
people taking the analogies as literally as possible, to the exclusion
of all reason and logic. Now, I'm not mocking faith, but faith cannot
exist in a vacuum.
My personal religion makes an analogy of our established "God" analogy
and radically expands on it. Fer instance, instead of saying 'formless
lump of substance' let's say 'Mouth', in fact let's name it 'The
Mouth'. And instead of saying 'consciousness' let's name it 'The
Voice'.
The Mouth and the Voice both live in this thing called "existence",
through by definition has ALWAYS existed, and so to ponder where
"existence" "came from" would be a nonsensical waste of time. Energy
cannot be created nor destroyed. So there.
Now we have a Mouth and a Voice who come together to create "Breath",
and the Mouth proceeded to Blow everything. The Breath was hot but
eventually cooled to such a degree it began to get cold and
subsequently froze. Now we have little frozen particles of breath,
akin to snowflakes, floating around existence . After a sufficient
amount of snowflakes formed The Snowflakes began converging upon one
another, pulled to one another like through some kinda gravity. And
they formed, what else, a snowman. At first the snowman just stood
there, but the little snowflakes that made up the snowman were busy
communicating with each other, forming their own massive civilization
WITH ALL THAT ENTAILS. Then one day a funny thing happened to the
snowman, it began moving. In fact you could say it was walking, and as
the Snowflakes increased the complexity of their communication the
Snowman began to Talk and Think! A COLLECTIVE IDENTITY emerged.
AMAZING! At least that's what the Mouth and Voice thought. They then
took their curiosity a step further and MELTED the snowman down to
Water and DRANK THE SNOWMAN! The resulting union was the most
incredible spectacle Existence had ever witnessed. It was something
called, the HU-MAN.
What made the HU-MAN interesting was it - somehow - encapsulated the
entire scope of existence! Before, the boundaries of existence (such
as they were) were somewhat formless, now it had the shape of a human
body! Such a bizarre shape too. Obviously the face of the HU-MAN had a
mouth and voice, they were THE mouth and voice, and in this new
dimension called NO-THING Breath was being expelled into it as
well.
Unlike inside existence where Breath became snowflakes and eventually
a snowman, outside existence Breath became slivers of glass and
eventually a large plane of glass. To which the HU-MAN could ENTER.>>
The results were fascinating.
However, the HU-MAN was not content with this arrangement. Too many
questions were left unanswered and he resolved to fix that. So he
entered the Plane of Glass one last time and shattered it from the
inside. The Idea being he would start the whole thing over an
infinite number of times. Our Universe is one these shards of broken
glass.
oookay, so where's the parallel between your analogy and objective
reality? I got lost fairly quickly.
phht. Fuck if I know. I'm just a mouthpiece of something beyond my
comprehension.
Your consciousness?
Yep.
Fine. So how can our Universe be a "piece of broken glass"? wouldn't
that mean it would be incomplete?
Not at all. You see, a hologram retains the whole image even it is
broken into several pieces.
So now you're saying it wasn't a piece of glass but a hologram the HU-
MAN stepped into.
More like a mirror as described in Alice's Adventures Through the
Looking Glass.
So what separates you from someone like Tom Cruise?
For one thing, I'm more like L. Ron Hubbard. But what separates me
from Mr. Hubbard are fairly numerous things. Fer instance, even though
I believe my analogies are more accurate descriptions of Cosmic
History than what is presently presented by mainstream organizations,
religious and otherwise, I accept that these definitions are
transitional. In other words, their validity is dependent solely on
society's abject ignorance, conversely they can only be taken
seriously by someone who is versed on the cutting edge of science;
someone who CAN recognize and explain the parallel between my analogy
and objective reality.
To what end??
To find the grain of Truth in the heap I am presenting. And from that
grain we will build upon it, more grains will culminate as more
experiments are performed. We will eventually build a mighty sand
castle.
This sounds familiar.
These patterns have a way of repeating themselves.
What about these experiments you mentioned. What do they entail?
The experiments would use the 'Interfaces' mentioned earlier; the so-
called "active" principle of my religion, as opposed to the so-called
"passive" principle such as the History lesson I just gave.
What about Sin? Heaven and Hell. Don't all religions need some
pervasive stance on Morality?
We all know what Good and Bad are. Why make people feel guilty just
because they’re not perfect. And for that matter there’s nothing about
my religion that says you can’t accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and
Savior. He’s not mine. But I won’t judge you poorly if he’s yours.
This religion is not at odds with Christianity or any religion for
that matter, but merely complements, an add-on if you will. In gaming
terms it’s called an ‘expansion pack’.
Furthermore, Jesus proclaimed you could do some pretty amazing things
– from walking on water to raising the dead. But mainstream
Christianity certainly doesn’t give you a ‘to-do’ list on how to
accomplish these things.
But you’re saying you’ll teach people how to do those things?
Well, let’s keep things in perceptive.
I’m finding that increasingly difficult as this interview goes on.
The nature of reality is fluid. And consciousness can experience many
different layers of it.
How does this pertain to your religion?
The Interface. There is a way to experience a hyper-real simulated
reality in your own mind. Through the help of a 3rd party I discovered
a formula that allows you to pierce the veil of ordinary reality, a
place hidden within your own consciousness. The beauty of it is you
can come back to this world and slowly learn to manipulate the world
as you could there.
Are you speaking metaphorically or literally?
That’s something you’ll have to find out for yourself.
Can you describe this ‘hyper-real simulated reality’ a little more?
Certainly. Think of a day-dream, now imagine a day dream so real you
couldn’t tell the difference between what you call real and what you
call fantasy. In fact the only way you could distinguish the
difference is your ability to do whatever you wish; fly, create
something from nothing, anything you can imagine really. You go to
this place enough times you understand the real difference between the
two. And now you’re able to change this world in a way similar to your
imagination.
So you’re saying I really would be able to fly??
It all depends on your ability to perceive reality as a whole. No one
in this world is taught to believe in that kind of miracle so most
people using this technique, this interface, this active religious
principle would most likely only use it for financial or social gain
and not anything super-natural or truly fantastic.
But you’re saying IT IS possible, correct?
You’ll have to discover that for yourself.
So what is the interface, how do I use it?
Oh! I’m sorry, we just ran out of time. But if you’re really
