Dumb question: in 1985 they told us that quake forebode a "BIG" quake ca 1995 along the lines of the 1812 New Madrid quake. Was this one it? A decade ago I looked through ProQuest NY Times archives and found there was NYC damamge some time in the 1930s from a quake.
