Changing focus, going either to the u.s. mexico or a cruise on my own, any suggestions?

Hi all.
From the earlier post, I guess I am changing plans, and are now focusing on
going to the southern part of the u.s. Maybe mexico, or Caribian May be on a
cruise.
I am blind and travelling on my own. I am confident, my m. o. skills are
good, and I am not shy asking other humans for help.
SO anybody with any ideas for a 10-14 days long vacation where relaxation,
some site seeing, good food and good weather is in the same vicinity as
myself at the same time?

A cruise may be ok but I wouldn't do it personally - not sure whether
there are any cruises for younger people, and I would think that the
only people you may meet would be on the boat.

Have you looked at any package deals or so called coach holidays? You
usually have the services of a tour leader for these types of trips,
and I have seen people of all ages on them.

I have often wondered whether it would be worth setting up some sort
of system where several VI travellers could go somewhere as a team and
help each other?
