I remember all too well. (sound of an axe against a grindstone) 1999
was not a good year in the War(tm). And it's not smart of you to
cross-post between these two groups. The alt.pets.rabbits group does
not appreciate the war we have been raging against their fluffy
masters over at alt.devilbunnies.

Because of that cross-posting I won't go into detail about how awful a
year 1999 was.

However, the Evil that Fluffs (tm) has been rather quiet lately. Too
quiet.

------------

Eugene got up and walked away from the PC, whetstone in one hand, axe
in the other. He subconsciously honed the edge of the axe as he
headed out the door into the yard of Maine Fudd HQ.

Of course he remembered the last Year of the Rabbit. Way too well.

That was the year Maine Fudd HQ was overrun by the Fluffers.

It was the year he spent as a POW among the Fluffers.

He remembered the Fluffers putting him up for auction on
BunEBay--afterall, so many Fluffers wanted a piece of him, that the
buns at DEWComm decided to profit from the demand.

He remembered being forced to watch as other POWs where thrown into a
Spam-O-Matic(tm).

The rise of the Fourier wacko (the "normal" Fouriers wanted nothing to
do with him), Wade, and the terrorism campaign he led to try and free
Eugene. One really good thing came out of that, the reopening of the
papermill in Winslow and their recycled fiber toiletpaper,
"Fluff(tm)". We won't discuss what gets recycled beyond tree fibers
in it, but it is a very soft TP.

He remembered eventually being transferred from DEWComm to the
"civilian" warren of Denverwarren and the Kit-Therapy Sessions (tempo
of the whetstone against the axe increases) there.

He remembered the long recovery he went through.

It would also result in the decline of his CO's health and the CO's
eventual death...at the paws of Fluffers, of course.

Old wounds the foolish symps over to alt.pets.rabbits, really, really
didn't want to see opened again if they really knew what was good for
them.

Perhaps this will be the Year of the New Rabbit, the year when
dissidents among the bunnies -- and I hold on to the belief that there
must be some -- begin turning their fellow bunnies away from their war
of aggression and toward the moral life.

I never want to give up that hope for the future. [thump]
