> Essential Knowledge and Skills:

you can either get a good salesperson or a good programmer
but i doubt youll get both in one person

based on current -team oriented- hiring practices
youll get a salesperson that give great metaphorical or literal head
and mediocre programing
and then limp along on a mediocre product
or hire a real programer when the product is (or is almost) fatally damaged

> * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
> discipline

its managements responsibility to figure out how to deal with techincal staff
if technical staff already knew how to do management
you wouldnt need senior management

> * High energetic, enthusiastic, and committed

good programers sometimes lack basic hygiene skills
whats more important? ability to program or looking pretty?

> * Experience with contract management, order management, and/or
> billing implementations is a significant advantage

technical experience optional?

> * Experience to work in a fast paced start up environment

hire technical excellent programers and give them a challenging problem
and thats all the motivation they need

> Technical Knowledge:

30 years or so
which makes me too old thus i can afford to take a piss
ebcause i would get no hearing and so ive got nothing to lose
