I'm pretty underwhelmed by cmd.exe, too, what with its window being
limited to being dragged 80 characters wide unless you go in and
change the defaults, while file names can be much longer, and it still
using the garbage edit mark and copy mechanism of command.com,
rather than supporting mouse cut and paste operations...

Still, it does do what you claimed it does.

I'm pretty sure Bill Gates thinks this is pretty hot stuff, but "meh".
Unix did better than this when I first encountered it in 1984,
Cygwin's rxvt does much better than that today, even while
running embedded in WinXP.
