to connect today it was attempting to assign an IP that was completely
out of the normal range and then it failed to recognize the modem.
Here's the weird part though, even though I couldn't access the
Internet it was still connected to Charter and this page they have
setup for accessing and setting up accounts. Sooo...rather than enter
in my ~present~ account information (for television) I entered in the
old, defunct, presumably deleted account information (under my
Grandmothers name) and ~viola~ it was still setup with an Internet
account and then it just auto-reconfigured itself to work with it at
that point.
So now I have no idea if it'll continue to be free or if they're going
to start sending bills off to a dead person at an address that has
nothing to do at all with me at this point...*shrugs*...either way it
should be interesting. ^__^
