I have been contracted to write a book for HOW Design Books - it's
kind of an irreverent look at the business of graphic design. The
volume will cover a wide variety of topics including education.
Various education options are being covered with input from
designers/instructors associated with the "big city" art specific
design school, a "commuter" college, a major liberal arts university,
online education programs, seminars/training programs, industry
related conferences and workshops, etc.

I am looking for possible contacts with a vocational/technical related
school (similar to, but not necessarily, the Art Institute),
preferably in a city other than NY, LA or SF. I would also like to
include an example of an art school, offering graphic design courses,
that DOES NOT offer a program resulting in a degree or certificate.
Again, I would prefer a school located somewhere other than major
cities that are usually considered design centers.

If anyone has had an exceptionally good experience with such an
institution, I would be very interested in learning about the school.
If you have a contact with the school that would be even better.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I uh... think I can put you in contact with someone like that.
Does Vancouver count?
If it does, I can most definitely be of assistance.
:)

Jeff, email me privately. I'm on an advisory board for a tech school in
OKC.
