I may be (almost certaintly) be laid off in the next month. Company I work
for was sold and they are moving production to a home office out of state.
Does any one have a lead on art director jobs in the Denver, Colorado area?
I am most interested in magazine publishing but I have experience in other

Well, the economy is pretty good right now, so that is a plus for a job
search. Below are three right in Denver from the Creative Hotlist,
depending you your skills. There were several others from around the
state, especially in the Boulder area.

Online Graphic Designer

Description:
Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining all e-blast and web
ads for multiple divisions and managing the production process for all
on-line/interactive creative materials. Works with Art Director, Sr.
Designer and Copywriter to determine creative direction for Internet
advertising. Creates and produces marketing pieces for all consumer
advertising, internal communications, special events and promotions.
Oversees multiple advertising vendors to insure accuracy and timely
delivery of creative material.

Concepts, creates, designs, produces and submits weekly e-blasts for RAH
divisions and MDC national marketing pieces. Adheres to branding
requirements and standards relating to product and lifestyle
photography, color usage, copy and budget requirements.

Obtains final approval on all pieces before they are sent out. Upholds
standards of quality, accuracy and timeliness at all times.

Responsible for checking all work for accuracy of all online ads and
e-blasts to ensure that links go to proper pages and that ads and
e-blasts are clear of bugs.

Concepts, develops and creates new marketing materials for RAH, MDC and
other subsidies. Includes making creative recommendations including
budget, production methods, photo purchases, etc. Other Responsibilities:

General administrative duties: Phone calls, email, organization,
maintaining photography archives, file preparation, server maintenance,
meetings, etc.

Minimum Requirements: Education: BA in graphic design or related degree

Experience: 2-3 years of graphic design experience (agency experience a

Ha! Now there's a thought maybe I could become a publishig mogul.

Thank you inez for a very good suggestion. I will add the Colorado Press
Association to my list of sites to check then check again.
