I have discovered a way to do a pretty good watercolor effect to photos...
makes them look pretty good in my view.

Image is pretty large, wide and tall...

What do you think?

I think I have that Photoshop filter too. But yes, it is pretty.

Pretty. Not so filter-y as it could be.

Your example is pretty cool Mike but it's representative of computer filter
effects (not to take away from your efforts). You did a good job.

Have you experimented with watercolour paints and all their intricacies,
foibles and follies?

Most people don't work with "WATERCOLOUR" anymore 'cause of lack of control
over the medium (myself included). Watercolour is such a tangible, "watery",
yet strict, medium that most (including myself) can't deal with without
getting frustrated.

Or you get a feeling of freedom with watercolour?.

I did some watercolor art in Highschool art classes, but never got lose...
was always too controlled for my art teacher's taste. I find the computer
much more too my taste and I can make it look as lose or tight as I wish.

Nice Mike!

Was this done in Photoshop? It would be sweet if you posted a tutorial on
how you got the effect. I know there are the typical filters but you did
some nice tweaking.

with warm regards,
