Iraq war veteran killed in rollover on Interstate 10

(EXCERPT) Car carrying Justin Till, other Marines was going 110 mph,
investigators say, by Richard Guzmán The Desert Sun May 30, 2003

Just after he returned from the Middle East, Marine Lance Cpl. Justin
Till shared with his future mother-in-law, Becky Carr, a to-do list he
wrote while serving in Iraq.

Among his dreams were to marry his girlfriend, Cathedral City resident
Casey Carr, adopt her daughter, buy his fiancee a car and buy new
furniture.

But none of the 21-year-old’s dreams will come true.

Just six days after returning from the war, Till, a New Jersey native,
was killed in a single-car accident early Thursday as he returned from
a San Bernardino bar with two other Twentynine Palms Marines
celebrating their recent homecoming.

"We’re all just devastated," Becky Carr said after learning of Till’s
death.
