Ancient radical cure still has legs today.

Sure, it sounds like fun now... But have you ever tried to keep on of them
holes clean?
Never got that far. Closest I got, in the middle of a migraine, was
having the Black & Decker aimed at my head and something between a
grin and a grimace on my face.

I don't know why your messages hate me, but they won't carat. just yours.
I followed a couple of websites (remember personal websites? before people
got all bloggy? Now any asshole can rant, you used to at least have to know
some HTML... oh well...) of people who had actually home trepanned. They had
awesome pictures of the "operating room", and a great diary of the
experience leading up to and the experience afterwards. The consensus seems
to be that it is a great rush for a few weeks... then you get used to the
extra oxygen or whatever and I guess you'd need to drill another hole to get
high again. A lot of work.
might make a good migraine cure, but if you miss the sweet spot you might be
stuck with some unfortunate tendency like speaking like Sarah Palin for the
rest of your life.
In other memories... My ninth grade science teacher described in detail a
guy who tried to off himself with a black & decker, and failed after 17
passes... He was a sweet teacher, he taught us all about the proper methods
of suicide. I think his wife ran off with a biker or something.
It's because I'm using this dreadful google groups interface instead
of a newsreader.

Lotta work and eventually your head looks like a colander. Then you
lose structural integrity and you can be killed by a stray ping-pong
ball.

Now I'm rilly not gonna do it.

What a great thing for a science teacher to teach! I think it should
be mandatory.
Anyway, the only other thing I remember about Rodney Brainsample is
that my spellcheck always wanted to correct it to Brains ample. Which
I though quite insightful for a stupid piece o software.

There used to be a few people on BME who did this. They really give a
bad name to run-of-the-mill self-surgery BME fanatics.
Brainwashing has never been more literal.
>You got a BME page now?
I perused their personal pages a few years ago. I really don't get
down on tattoos and piercings and total sexual nullification, so I
don't really care much for that place.

The things that squiks me out almost the most: ear plugs. I just don't
get those. Since when have tramp stamps and baker's dozen genital
piercings become not edgy enough? (and theres nose and lip plugs --
EW!)
