Read above and see what sentence I was responding to when I posted
that. If you have to contest a charge, YOU DO NOT INCUR ANY INTEREST
CHARGES while the claim is being investigated. If your claim is
upheld, then you never pay any interest on it because it's like it
never occurred. And in my 35+ year credit history, no, I've never had
any issue rise to that level. Nothing ever got to the point where I
had to refuse to pay a bill or risk paying interest because I
disagreed with something on it. But that's probably because I caught
things early and handled them like an adult.

Cash has its place. I never said it didn't. I only said that your
statement showed a lack of understanding of the subject. Now I wonder
why you really had to get rid of all of your credit cards.

Please tell me professor, how is Dish supposed to (or better yet, why
should they have to) accept cash for their service? It would be such
a horrible inconvenience to me to pay Dish each month using actual
cash. It's just so unthinkable. But you do realize there are many
other ways to pay Dish rather than using credit card auto-pay, right?
>And I never have to waste my time and effort later, getting overcharges

Neither have I. And I've been a customer since 1997 but I've only had
to deal with customer support fewer times than I can count on both
hands. And any time I talked with them I always got my issue
resolved. I get billed electronically (my choice), pay using a credit
card with rebates and no annual fee (never been on auto-pay), and my
service goes rolling merrily along. And their charges to my cards
have ALWAYS been correct, and I always pay the cards off each month,
so I never pay any interest on my cards for any reason. Now do you
understand why it's hard to take your statement about credit cards
seriously?
