You guys are actually falling for it.
You dbs users are SO FUNNY.
You're like a
poor little kid who gets a quarter every week from his dad. One week the kid
asks if his dad could give him more money each week.
His dad says "Ok, from now
on I'll give you 25 pennies every week instead of giving you just this 1 quarter
a week. The kid's all happy and goes around telling his friends that he's rich
because he only had 1 coin a week before, but now he has 25 whole coins a
week.
You people enjoying your hundreds of OVERCOMPRESSED LOW RESOLUTION BLURRY
EXCUSES FOR CHANNELS are just like that kid. You don't gain anything from
getting more channels.
You only gain when bandwidth is added to the
system.
You're like people who'd want to drink like 10 beers, but the bar only
has 1 beer. So the bartender waters down the one beer and makes 10 ultra watered
down beers, and you're perfectly happy with your 10 watered down beers.
How can
you people actually fall for that "DIGITAL QUALITY PICTURE AND SOUND" BULL?
Our
GRANDFATHERS were watching higher quality images with their rooftop antennas 40
years ago than you are watching when you watching when you watch an ntsc Dish
Network or ntsc Directv channel.
Just remember that "Digital" usually means
WATERED DOWN.

You are absolutely right but the DishNetwork "water" is a little
cleaner than the "water" from the AT&T cable that runs down my street.

Still looks better than cable and costs a lot less than a big dish system -
especially when big dish systems aren't practical for many of us.

No.

Nope.

Just remember that your capacity for understanding and reasoning better not
be as lousy as what you've just displayed.

How old are you? For your grand father to be around 50 or 60 you must be 5 or 6 years
old. I remember well 40 years ago. With our expensive roof top antenna we could get
one very snowy picture from a station 100 miles away. When we moved close to a big
city we could then see 3 clear picture stations. On channels 2 and 6 the picture
would be clear on rainy days and shitty most of the time.

A digitally encoded picture doesn't screw up the picture. On today's dish picture you actually
get a better picture than you did on TVs in the past. Of course, if your station
is local and you aren't too close or too far from the transmitter you are likely
to get a better signal than with a system that chooses to flush some of the signal
that your eyes will never see. Your argument on the lack of quality of a digitally
compressed signal is based solely on ignorance and stupidity.

We could go on with the quality of the ntsc system which was non existant until
somewhere around 20 years ago when a boom in electronic technology has made it
possible to have decent reception of the ntsc system.
We were first to bring in color TV and when the European came out with their PAL
and SECAM systems we looked like morons with our shitty ntsc color TVs.
