Subject: MIRRORSHADES?
I have a eye condition that causes me to have exaggerated
photosensitivity, where I live all the damn buildings are white and we
will soon be approaching yet another environmental meltdown summer.

Where can I buy some damn mirrorshades?

You know what I'm talking about - the real deal.

Thoughts?

If you're needing something to keep light from coming in, around the
lenses, you might expand your search to include "goggles".  Some
things named as goggles are just face hugging sunglasses, (maybe with
a strap).

Photosensitivity as in light causing pain or photosensitivity as in
abnormal ability to see in the dark? For the latter there are again
two possibilities:
 - your vision extends a bit into infrared (can be caused by diet,
medication or genetic), or
 - just plain sensitivity to normal range of 400 nm to 700 nm (which I
have, and can again be due to diet).

Tastes vary of course but I find mirror shades a bit 80's style. If
you have extended vision you might want to look into making yourself
IR goggles < http://amasci.com/amateur/irgoggl.html > and note the
warnings about looking into the sun. Most people would probably see
some near-infrared this way.

Not sure about your tech access but if you have you could consider
stacked dichroic filters and select the band you find less painful.

How about mirror shade contact lenses? Searching for "polaroid" rather
than "mirror shade" gives more hits.

Mirror shade contacts avoid light slipping in from the sides.

Yup.  This could be interesting.
