This is a GREAT survey you guys -- thanks for posting!!

>* WHAT IS YOUR LIVING ARRANGEMENT? Single, very single... :-(

>* WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT OUIJA BOARDS? Not much

>* YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOW? Law and Order, Bob Newhart, SportNight (r.i.p.)

>* WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD? Apple (computer)

>* FAVORITE BOARD GAME? Boggle

>* FAVORITE MAGAZINE? Games Magazine

>* FAVORITE SMELLS? Vanilla, bread baking

>* WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD? Nausea

>* BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD? Love

>* FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK? Movies: Grease, Saturday Night Fever, The Sting,
Urban Cowboy; Cast Albums: A Chorus Line, West Side Story, Rent.

>* WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK WHEN YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING? Where do
I have to be/get to go today? (The joys of being an independent contractor!)

>* ROLLER COASTER - SCARY OR EXCITING? Exciting! (And the more loops, the
better!)

>* HOW MANY RINGS BEFORE YOU ANSWER THE PHONE? One or two

>* FUTURE DAUGHTER'S NAME?

>* FUTURE SON'S NAME? These are hard for me to answer, because in the Jewish
tradition you name your child after a deceased relative, and I certainly don't
like to speculate about who it's going to be! I know some names I like (after
certain family members), but I'd rather hope to NOT have to use them, if you
know what I mean.

>* FAVORITE FOODS? Pizza, peanut butter, toll house cookies, chocolate-covered
almonds

>* CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA? Ice cream? Vanilla. Frosting? Chocolate!

>* DO YOU LIKE TO DRIVE? Yes

>* DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL? Nope, not since I was a kid.

>* STORMS - COOL OR SCARY? As long as I'm inside and my balcony furniture is
tied down they can be cool.

>* WHAT TYPE WAS YOUR FIRST CAR? I learned to drive in my mom's '82 Olds
Cutlass, but the first one I purchased was a '90 Nissan Sentra.

>* IF YOU COULD MEET ONE PERSON DEAD OR ALIVE? My father's father. He died
the year before I was born; I was named for him (see above). I have only
heard the most loving things about him and would love to have had the chance to
know him.

>* FAVORITE ALCOHOLIC DRINK? Bailey's Irish Cream (which I have maybe all of
twice a year)

>* WHAT IS YOUR ZODIAC SIGN? Virgo

>* WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE POET? Stephen Sondheim

>* IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY JOB YOU WANTED, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Tropical
Resort-tester.

but maybe with a touch of red

>* HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN LOVE? Yes.

>* WHAT IS ON YOUR WALLS IN YOUR ROOM? Replicas of two very old Ringling
Bros./Barnum & Bailey Circus posters.

>* IS THE GLASS HALF EMPTY OR HALF FULL? Definitely half full.

>* WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SNAPPLE? Lemonade.

>* FAVORITE MOVIE(S) Young Frankenstein, Grease, The Sting, Guess Who's Coming

forgetting...)

>* ARE YOU A LEFTY, RIGHTY, OR AMBIDEXTROUS? Righty.

>* DO YOU TYPE WITH YOUR FINGERS ON THE RIGHT KEYS? Sure do!

>* WHAT'S UNDER YOUR BED? Lint.

>* WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE NUMBER? pi

>* FAVORITE SPORT TO WATCH? Figure skating.

>* WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE FEMALE STAR? Movie? Jodie Foster. Theater?
Bernadette Peters.

>* FAVORITE MALE STAR? Harrison Ford

>* IF YOU COULD HARNESS ANY TALENT OF YOUR CHOOSING, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Playing
the guitar. I have always been a pianist, and can sit down and play pretty
much anything. It frustrates me that I can't do the same with a guitar -- and
a piano just isn't as portable...

>* ARE YOU STUCK IN THE PAST OR LOOKING FOR THE FUTURE? Doesn't the fact that
I live on the 70s n.g. answer that one? :-) (Although, if you go back to
question #1, I'm definitely looking for the future, too!)

>* WHAT IS THE HARDEST THING FOR YOU TO REMEMBER? Song lyrics if they're not
in front of me. I can sit at the piano with music on the stand right in front
of me and never need to look at it to sing, but if I try to pull it out of my
head without it there as a crutch, I'm stumped!

1984. I was in Tech School at the time (USAF).
After midnight chow we all gathered around
to watch. That became (just as David commanded)
our catch-phrase.

> > > * IF YOU COULD MEET ONE PERSON DEAD OR ALIVE?

Not necessarily. I could be the third to the last man left
alive or the last man left alive. Either way, thems good
odds!

Sometimes brutal honesty can be humorous. Now if you'll
excuse me I have to go comment on the size of a womans
breast. I just won't feel comfortable until I do.

Ok I thought about this & decided that I like pretty much any 19 year old
actress. Nineteen being my fave number & all. If I remember correctly that
was the age that Robin Williams referred to when his baby sitter she was 19.
He said " Is there any other word in the english language as sexy as the
word nineteen?" in the movie World According to Garp. At least I think she
was 19.

* WHAT IS YOUR LIVING ARRANGEMENT?
As of this Sunday I am "homeless". I gave up my apartment in Queens, NY and
will be on the road as a corporate travel agent temp for about a year (or
until I go crazy). My home will be hotels. My first stop is Denver.

*WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT OUIJA BOARDS?
They scare me a little. Too many stories to tell here. Most of them are
probally my imagination. But they still creep me out.

* YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOW?

I rarely watch TV. I did like Sports Night at one time. (Is that still on?)

* WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD?

Now I use a laptop, no mouse pad.

* FAVORITE BOARD GAME?
Monopoly

* FAVORITE MAGAZINE?
The ones that are all logic puzzles.

* FAVORITE SMELLS?
The ocean. After spending over two months outside of Minneapolis I spent my
first weekend home at a friend's house in Long Beach, NY. The house is a
half block from the bay and a few blocks from the ocean. The smell of the
water was all I needed to feel like I was back home.

* WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD?

The smell of body odor on the NYC subways in the summer.

* BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD?

When one of my many kids (niece, nephews, or friend's kids) are truely happy
to see me. It makes my day!

* FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK?
The movie HAIR.

* WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK WHEN YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING?

Hitting the snooze button

* ROLLER COASTER - SCARY OR EXCITING?

I love them!! I am a little afraid of heights. That gives it an extra
thrill.

* HOW MANY RINGS BEFORE YOU ANSWER THE PHONE?

Two. That is when the machine picks up. I almost always screen my calls.

* FUTURE DAUGHTER'S NAME?

Kayleigh (I love that song), but I don't think I want kids of my own.

* FUTURE SON'S NAME?

Bryan Patrick or Liam

* FAVORITE FOODS?
Pizza from NYC

* CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA?
Chocolate, the 5th food group!

* DO YOU LIKE TO DRIVE?

No, I havent owned a car in over 3 years. But I am a great passenger. I can
read a map and control the music better than anyone!

* DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL?

No, but I do bring a stuffed spider with me on trips.

* STORMS - COOL OR SCARY?

I live for storms. One of these days I want to spend a month or two storm
chasing.

* WHAT TYPE WAS YOUR FIRST CAR?

a 77 Old Cutlass. It lasted from August 1985 to December 1985. The joke was
that it dropped a 1/4 tank when you looked at it. BUt I loved that car!

* IF YOU COULD MEET ONE PERSON DEAD OR ALIVE?

My father. He died before my mother knew she was having me.

* FAVORITE ALCOHOLIC DRINK?
Vodka

* DO YOU EAT THE STEMS OF BROCCOLI?

Rarely

* IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY JOB YOU WANTED, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

To be a dicator of a small country.

* IF YOU COULD DYE YOUR HAIR ANY COLOR, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I will keep my jet black locks, but without the gray hairs.

* HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN LOVE?

Once, maybe twice.

* WHAT IS ON YOUR WALLS IN YOUR ROOM?

In my apartment I had a print of "the Scream" hanging over my bed.

* IS THE GLASS HALF EMPTY OR HALF FULL?

It depends upon what's in it.

* WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SNAPPLE?

I cant stand the stuff.

* FAVORITE MOVIE(S)
Hair, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Star Wars, Gone With the Wind.

* ARE YOU A LEFTY, RIGHTY, OR AMBIDEXTROUS?

I try to, but they rarely stay there.

* WHAT'S UNDER YOUR BED?

Boxes of books. and my dry cleaining.

Ice Hockey

* WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE FEMALE STAR?

I dont have a clue.

* FAVORITE MALE STAR?
John Travolta

* IF YOU COULD HARNESS ANY TALENT OF YOUR CHOOSING, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I would like to be able tow write, and also sing.

* ARE YOU STUCK IN THE PAST OR LOOKING FOR THE FUTURE?

Packing up everything I own made me realize how much I am stuck in the past.

For some reason I thought this said worst smell in the world. I was having a
moment

The worst feeling in the world is to feel powerless. Powerless to help the
ones you love, to help yourself, to do anything.

One night I walked in while this was going on. They were supposedly

Perhaps she meant if you remembered what happened to you in the past, but you kept yourself focused on the
future, you would be in control of today.

She was the female foil for the Marx Brothers in their movies and she was
awesome. She's the one Groucho is referring to when he says, in "Duck Soup",
"Remember men we have to defend this woman's honor...which is probably more
than she's ever done!" Also the one who gets pelted with all the fruit at the
end of the movie...

Indeed you are correct! Another great Groucho line to Margaret Dumont: "You
remind me of you. Your eyes, your throat, your lips. Everything about you
reminds me of you. Except you. How do you account for that?"

to get up already?"

Exciting unless it's one that goes upside down, then I find it scary.

Depends on what time of the day it is. If it's around dinner, I let the

The first two cars I ever drove were an '82 Suburban and a '78 Buick Electra

not much of either).

A couple of bulletin boards with a calendar, some cartoons, and some

I don't drink Snapple because they donate profits to Religious Right-run

A Clockwork Orange, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Monty Python and the
Holy Grail, Clerks, most James Bond movies.

I don't know. Probably some clothes or something.

Right now it's a toss-up between all the male members of both Whose Line
casts except Drew Carey and John Sessions.

above $20 million :-) Seriously, I'd like to be able to play as many

Well, if you like lines like these, and a theater company near you ever does
the show "A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine," RUN don't walk to buy
your ticket. As the name implies, it spoofs the classic Marx Brothers movies.
Actually the two acts are somewhat separate animals -- the first act (A Day in
Hollywood) spoofs and pays tribute to movie musicals of the 30s and 40s; the
eight cast members are ushers at Graumann's Chinese Theater. Then the second
act (A Night in the Ukraine) is the musical the Marx Brothers never made but
would have. You'll find the requisite Groucho, Chico, Harpo, Margaret Dumont,
and ingenue characters, and LOADS of lines like the ones you quoted. I was in
this show 7 years ago (yikes, has it been that long??) and learned so much
about the songs/composers/shows of that era. Even if you never see the show,
the cast album is available (happens to be on sale right now at Tower - just
checked! <A
HREF="http://www.towerrecords.com/prd.i/pgen/tower/K4D1QR66SMS12M9110066JR
L0TU2M4QN/album.html;album=1023658">A Day In Hollywood/A Night In The
Ukraine</A>), as is the script (theater bookstores). Read it and/or listen to
it for some brilliant humor that is so dead-on to the originals it's spooky.

How much are you going to charge me for this anyway? ;-)

Actually, what it means is that if I only concentrate on
what was or what might be, what is will be pretty much
ruined.

lead us on."

My turn! Thanks for posting this, Dawna, some great answers so far.

WHAT IS YOUR LIVING ARRANGEMENT?

Single with my son (12 yrs old) and a tank full of really fat fish.
The neighbor's cats come to visit now and then but I'd love a
cat of my own again.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT OUIJA BOARDS?

I avoid them unless I'm really drunk and/or stoned! Otherwise,
they frighten me.

YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOW?

All-time? Forget it, I could not narrow it down, so I'll go with The X-Files,
The Simpsons, All In The Family and The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD?

It's blue with a glowing black X and the X-Files logo.

FAVORITE BOARD GAME?

Toss up between Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit.

FAVORITE MAGAZINE?

TV Guide :-) Actually Life is my all-time fave, I'm so bummed
they've stopped production but it means the long years spent
building my massive collection may finally pay off!

FAVORITE SMELLS?

Old books, coffee brewing in the morning, freshly mown grass and
the ocean. I think I was a fish in my previous life.

WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD?

When my son went missing from our new house. I was hyperventilating
on the phone to the cops. He was found safe and sound, though, which
leads into the next query.

BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD?

When that police car pulled up to the curb with my son in the back seat.

FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK?

Jesus Christ Superstar, Fame, Bugsy Malone.

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK WHEN YOU WAKE UP IN THE
MORNING?

Coffee, now! Actually, the first thought I usually have is, "What the heck did
*that* dream mean?!".

ROLLER COASTER - SCARY OR EXCITING?

Both and that's why they're so cool.

HOW MANY RINGS BEFORE YOU ANSWER THE PHONE?

Two, if I'm in the mood to talk, otherwise the machine can pick it up and
I'll decide if they're worthy of my precious time.

FUTURE DAUGHTER'S NAME?
FUTURE SON'S NAME?

Not gonna happen! I've always liked the name Ria for a girl, though.

FAVORITE FOODS?

Chicken in any format, pizza, ice cream, grape Lolas and curry.

CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA?

Oh, please, like there's any choice but chocolate!

DO YOU LIKE TO DRIVE?

I would probably enjoy it very much but I still don't have a license!
Yup, 35 and I can't drive, how sad is that?

DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL?

Not anymore but I still have my childhood doll and my son sleeps
with her, does that count?

STORMS - COOL OR SCARY?

If I'm inside snug as a bug then they're way cool but if I'm outside
they frighten me senseless.

WHAT TYPE WAS YOUR FIRST CAR?

See above :-) My parents' first car was a VW bug and I have fond
memories of sitting in the back rumble seat thingy with our dog, Melody,
a big old loveable boxer.

IF YOU COULD MEET ONE PERSON DEAD OR ALIVE?

That's a toughie but I think I'll go with Harry Chapin.

FAVORITE ALCOHOLIC DRINK?

Beer, any beer as long as it's cold. Then rum and Diet Coke.

WHAT IS YOUR ZODIAC SIGN?

Gemini, I'm twice the fun!

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE POET?

Bernie Taupin, if lyricists count. Otherwise, and I don't want to hear
any snarky remarks from the peanut gallery, Rod McKuen. Oh yeah?
Well, bite me, I think he's groovy ;-)

DO YOU EAT THE STEMS OF BROCCOLI?

Definitely, I love broccoli!

IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY JOB YOU WANTED, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Actress and I don't care if I win any awards, I just love acting. Second choice
would be a torch singer ala Michelle Pieiffer in The Fabulous Baker Boys.
Especially if I could look like she did in that red dress, vavoom!

IF YOU COULD DYE YOUR HAIR ANY COLOR, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Blonde just to have all that fun I keep hearing about.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN LOVE?

Have ya got an hour? Oh, yeah, loads of times.

WHAT IS ON YOUR WALLS IN YOUR ROOM?

If we're talking about my bedroom, there's a pencil sketch over my bed
of an old Asian gentleman reading a book. Our landlady way back when
let us take it when we moved, I have no idea where it originally came from
but it just touched me, you know? And right next to it is a drawing of The
Pink Panther with the words "Rhonda's Room" above his head. I got that
from the CNE back in the '70's, couldn't resist. My living room is covered
with Marilyn Monroe posters and pictures, my favorite being one of her
in a white ballerina outfit. She's barefoot, half leaning over with a slightly
sad expression on her face. She looks so vulnerable. I also have a great
photo collage of my grandparents including their marriage announcement
from the newspaper. Oh, and a bunch of my son's art masterpieces as well.
Aren't you glad you asked?!

IS THE GLASS HALF EMPTY OR HALF FULL?

Always half full unless I'm in a bar then it's never half full!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SNAPPLE?

Don't drink it, I'm a Diet Coke fiend.

FAVORITE MOVIE(S)

Jaws, Tommy, Fame, The Usual Suspects, Reservoir Dogs, Grease,
Tucker: The Man and His Dream, Harold and Maude, This Is Spinal Tap,
Star Wars, Midnight Cowboy, The Graduate, Papillon (big Dustin Hoffman
fan, can ya tell?).

ARE YOU A LEFTY, RIGHTY, OR AMBIDEXTROUS?

Righty.

DO YOU TYPE WITH YOUR FINGERS ON THE RIGHT KEYS?

Heavens no, but I'm darn fast.

WHAT'S UNDER YOUR BED?

Boxes full of books I don't have room for and old greeting cards and
letters from lost loves.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE NUMBER?

69, natch! At least as far as I can recall, it's been a while ;-)

FAVORITE SPORT TO WATCH?

Baseball and figure skating, especially if Elvis Stojko is skating!

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE FEMALE STAR?

Music: Kate Bush
Movies: Marilyn Monroe and Jodie Foster

FAVORITE MALE STAR?

Music: Elton John (duh!)
Movies: Dustin Hoffman, hands down, with Kevin Spacey close behind.

IF YOU COULD HARNESS ANY TALENT OF YOUR CHOOSING, WHAT WOULD
IT BE?

I would love to be able to play the piano preferrably in a jazz club.

ARE YOU STUCK IN THE PAST OR LOOKING FOR THE FUTURE?

Bit of both really. I collect way too many things and love looking back
through them and I look to the future through my son's eyes.

WHAT IS THE HARDEST THING FOR YOU TO REMEMBER?

To buy toilet paper before we run out. Thank goodness for Kleenex!

Cheers,

TD

Very similar thing happened with my brother. A bunch of friends were
communicating with the spirit operating the pointer. My brother pointed
out to it that he knew it was a demon. The pointer sat still a second,
then flew off the board and banked around the room. It quit working
after that.

next ten minutes was "KILL JEFF". I would think otherdimensional entities
dead for centuries would have thicker skins, really.
