me a healthier person, too.
No, actually I was born and raised in California. Back around 1980 they
had a big marketing push for Ale-8 (I suppose it's the same--a bit like
Mountain Dew or Mello Yello and Ginger Ale?) where they advertised it as
the "Soft Drink Of Tomorrow", complete with New Wave dancers in garbage
bad dresses and all (very impressionable on a 10-year-old!). It was
around for about a year and then vanished out there. It's still available
in Kentucky? Methinks I may have to make a trip north and load up the
truck with crates of the stuff... :)
Thanks!

and force us to watch what's on the Canadian station! Things get cut off,
you miss the US commercials (which seems to be a big deal during Super Bowl)
and it's censorship! If I wanted to watch the Canadian station, I would!!!
Worst case that I saw, was a simulcast that started at 11:00pm (for a 1/2
hour show) that was still going on at 6:30am! Someone fell asleep at the
switch.... (took me a second to figure out why the Rochester, NY Fox
affiliate was showing the local (Nova Scotia) news <G>).

years old. How can she tell me how to live if if she has never been in my
place? I am happy, healthy, have an okay job, and the most amazing group of
friends. Life is not perfect, but it is pretty good. As much as I love her
kids, I would not want her life. She should accept it and move on. (Boy,
that felt good!)

cosmetologist . . . + more!

It's wonderful how most everyone has said it was the day their children
were born. My greatest day was when I met Billy Squier (December 4,

Thanks! From A Star is Born, up until the late 80s, I bought all her
new stuff, but I've gotten away from her. Great voice and emotion.
And her Ave Maria (I've been thinking a lot of Christmas lately, as you
can see!) is fantastic.
I'm a glutton for punishment though - I try to reach the same notes.
My mother cries from emotion . . . the rest of the family just cries!
:-)
BTW, YOU have good taste TOO!

look like their pants are falling down!!!!
Goo-goo dolls - I love their lyrics, and their tunes, playing, and
singing show much talent. South Park - Kyle is the cutest thing!!!!
NHL Hockey, I've been a fan of a lot of teams, but have been with the

"Dolphins an' eskimos...it's all a bunch of tree lovin hippy crap..."
hehe
They subtitle South Park in Norwegian here. I've learned LOTS of new
phrases! :)
My favorite Cartman has to be when Shelly babysits. His rappin' is so
cute, and the voice sound effects blow me away. "Wicky-wicky-woo!
Wicky-wicky-woo!" The one where he plays Jesus in the Easter pageant
etc. is super too.
"Screw you gaaahs, Ahm goin' hame!"
DLN Oil Impressionist
9-61
Hehhee, I'd actually love to hear South Park in Norwegian, but they'd screw
it up anyway, they can't even get the subtitles right. Actually, that's
part of the fun....as if the episode wasn't hilarious enough, the screw ups
on the subtites are just as fun. =)
Unfortunately, I don't think a lot of Norwegians get the jokes, a lot of
them have to do with American celebs and humor. (I don't think anyone knows
who Tina Yothers or Kathy Lee Gifford is)
My favorite epsiode (if you're not counting the original Christmas short
clip) will always be the Stan clone episode... "Are you looking at my head
gear?" hehehehe
:) Off to go listen to mulitiple mp3s by Savoy...it's the new band with
Aha guitarist Pål Waaktaar.......Scary!
