I have a new novel being released tomorrow, with a launch party
scheduled for Flag Day, June 14th. It's a novel loosely based on my
mother's experiences as an army wife in Camp Sobingo, South Korea, in
1946. I was just 8 years old, but I had always wondered why one of
the women in the compound committed suicide, and never had any real
answers, so I made it up. Like a true novelist, I've been told.
Anyway, it's The Women of Camp Sobingo, published by Vanilla Heart
Publishing, and will be available on Amazon, B&N, or other online
stores, as well as ordering from your local bookstore. I was told
last night via email that the press release had been picked up by a
Russian news agency and one in South Korea.
I'm not sure this group allows links, but I'm gonna take the risk of
being thrown out and post them anyway..

Have a great Mothers'Day. My mom (soon to be 88) is walking on air,
since I told her the book was being released on Mothers' Day in honor
of my own mother. The press reease mentioned those military wives who
made do, and did without, as well as other sacrifices along the way.
God Bless Them All!

I had trouble with the first two urls you provided. The one to the Cafe
Press site with the shirts and stuff worked but the others didn't. There is
a space in each url that has to be removed. Even so, the one for YouTube
and the one to Vanilla Heart didn't open. The Vanilla Heart site gave me a
real fancy 404 message....it said "Oooops" and told me to correctly input
the url.

Having said that, congratulations. We are very pleased to see this news in
time for Mother's Day, Tom in Pensacola

Not Marilyn, but try this one:

Actually, the first link she provided had three blank spaces, as did
the second link. For the YouTube link try:

I figured it out. Random spaces to challenge us. But the links worked.
Thanks, Tom

Not kidding. Probably early fall, late summer, and Alaska.

Anyone coming down to Mobile, Alabama to catch a cruise better crank in an
extra travel day or two and come over to Pensacola. We have the best
beaches, the National Naval Aviation Museum, Blue Angel practice sessions, a
brat tour guide, etc........Tom in Pensacola

Are you going?? I did Alaska on Princess twice with Mom and thoroughly
enjoyed everything except Princess. Would love to go again but on Carnival.
What finally pushed Mickie over the edge??? 8-)

Sounds like a lovely invitation, Tom, but when we checked on Carnival
cruises out of Mobile, all we found was 4 & 5 days. We like longer cruises
than that...

But the next time we head your way (and you never know when it migh be!!!),
we'll be sure & let you know. Would be fun to have a *Brat face-to-face*.
Haven't done that in a while.

Looks like we'll be going out of Galveston this time. Carnival moved all
their 7-day cruises out of New Orleans, removing a large part of the
*thrill* for me, as Tom always let me spend a couple of days after-cruise in
the French Quarter. We've never been to Galveston, in spite of living
several years in Corpus Christi.
