At garden shops on Oahu, I can only find the short-leaf variety.

Concerning the long-leaf variety which is more lush-looking, does
anyone know where that is sold?

I thought they were spelled mondo. But I thought I saw some at Home
Depot. Try Lowe's too. You can also call the university's Botany
Department if you want more information.
