Brady Bunch story just keeps getting stranger
By BRIAN GORMAN -- Today Editor
IN THE movie Reality Bites, the following exchange takes place:
"I wish life could be like it was on The Brady Bunch."
"But Dad Brady died of AIDS."
Now, this week, the syndicated entertainment show Vibe had Maureen
McCormick, who played Marcia Brady, saying she and Eve Plumb, who played Jan
Brady, had a relationship that wasn't entirely sisterly.
McCormick admitted she had a crush on Plumb, and that they were "close."
Asked, "Are you talking about pattycake close, or Ellen close?" McCormick
laughed and said, "We had really good times together."
"Did you kiss?" she was asked. McCormick replied, "Yeah, we've kissed."
I don't know what's weirdest: The fact that she was willing to admit this on
TV, that there's a TV show that goes after this stuff ... or that I'm
desperate enough for column material that I'm stealing it.
One thing is for sure, the next time someone says she wishes life could be
like it was on The Brady Bunch, what you're going to do is sigh and say: "It
is, my dear. It is."
David, thinking Tiger didn't disappear, he ran away because he couldn't
stand the humiliation.

Dahlings
I saw her, as the mom, in a new sit-com about a dead teenager, (don't ask,
I have a rule of trying new programmes that seem even mildly interesting,
and "Teen Angel" had to seen once, if only to see a kid eat a hamburger
that had been under the bed for 6 months). In an interesting writing
"choice" they had the living kid throw a football at a plant that had
captured his younger brother, miss, and hit Ms. McCormick in the nose,
aping a famous Brady show episode and the first Brady movie. I was sure
the above, by David, would be about that, when I read the subject header.
David, precious, you always exceed expectations!
