After six successful years of showing the Rocky Horror Picture Show,
the Mundelein Cinema is closing its doors. Increased competition from
a nearby new 8 screen multiplex has severly killed the daily business
there and the Mundelein Cinema is closing forever.
This may be the last chance to see Rocky Horror in the Chicago suburbs
for some time.
The Completely Crazy cast will be performing one last show at the
Mundelein Cinema on Saturday, December 21st, 1996. Doors open at 9pm
and there is rumored to be an audience tailgate party beginning at 8pm
(though this is not affiliated with the cast or theater, just a rumor
I heard). Starting at 9 we will be performing the "best" (ahem) of our
pre-shows from over the last year, showing trailers, selling
memoribilia from the theater and from the cast's private collections
to raise money, providing refreshments, taking names for a mailing
list to notify fans of Completely Crazy's new home (when we find one),
socializing, and generally going out with a bang. Admission will be
$5, and there will be merchandise for sale, (plus any donations will
be greatly appreciated). The only thing required, though, is YOU. Come
help us celebrate our successful run here and have one mother of a
blow-out!
