Come As You Are--AZRocky--Down but not Done

Hey everyone

Just wanted to let everyone out there know that due to circumstances
way beyond my control, Chandler Cinemas--which I took over last year
as owner/operator, the culmination of years of ROCKY involvement--will
be closing tomorrow. We're having a final bash at noon on Sunday the
21st which will conclude with farewell live showings of REPO at 5pm
and ROCKY at 7pm. So if any of you find yourselves in the general
Phoenix area, please feel free to stop in, or send word to any friends

My cast, Come As You Are--built on the ashes of my former cast,
Broadway Bound & Gagged 3 years ago--will continue in some form or
fashion. I know that just about everyone on this list has been through
this at least once. This will be our sixth theatre loss in ten years;
we always land up on our feet somewhere, and every time I've lost a
theatre, I've brought the show back bigger and better. This time it
ended up with me owning the theatre; who knows where we will end up
from here? I've already got some nibbles about taking the show on the
road, so we shall see.

The usual thanks to all my/our friends out there--too numerous to
list, you all know who you are--thanks for all the support you've
always shown me and my cast (whatever name it's gone by). we're not
down and we're not done! But we'll definitely be using our downtime to
rest up and probably visit some of our neighbors. I'm definitely
planning to be at ROCKYSTOCK next week, and Sinscon 2010 is a given.

So that's it, really. Our final regular show is tonight and our final
farewell all star show is tomorrow. Both will feature lots of veteran
AZ performers including a few that bridges have been burned with in
the past but which are now at least tentatively rebuilt. So some good
is coming out of this.

I'll let everyone know when we get a new home. Genuine love to all--
