Actually, I am happy to report that Fab is alive and well. It was the other
guy (Rob Pilatus sp??) that killed himself. Fab is currently playing solo at
small clubs in the Los Angeles area. I know this because I am "plugged into"
VH-1 where the music comes first.
Now, who is Wendy O Williams and what does the O stand for?

And, to bring this back on topic, Wendy O. played Magenta in a
production of the Rocky Horror Show at the Westport Playhouse in St.
Louis, MO in 1985. They gave her most of Riff's lines too, and she wore
basically nothing for the Space Scene. The regular Magenta costumes was
kind of a pissed-off waitress outfit with legwarmers. She was offered
the part of Frank, but turned it down.

She's dead. All of Rochester (anyone who actually knew who she was) is
really depressed (joke). W.O.W. was, to put it bluntly, a serious bitch.
And fairly ugly too. Maybe she got a little nicer hiding out in Webster
these past 5 or 6 years, but I doubt it. No loss for humanity.

My memories of Wendy O....
I was lucky enough to get to see Wendy O Williams in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at
the Westport Playhouse back in 1985. It was a great production. It was a
little weird that Riff didn't get to do much during the show but Wendy was a
lot of fun. Image "Science Fiction Double Feature" sung by Wendy in her
trademark screech. It was very interesting. She climbed through the audience
on the armrests of the chairs while singing the song. I even got to kiss her -
it was very cool! She also did an interview with Betzi Vojtko (publisher of
the Rocky Horror Shop Talk - one of the most famous Rocky Horror newsletters
ever) after one of the performances. Betzi had nothing but nice things to say
about Wendy after their meeting. They even started a writing correspondence
that lasted several years. These letters often showed up in SHOP TALK.
Just thought I would share these memories with all of you.

Oh my god. Wendy O' rocked.
Being one of those 80's glam kids, I listened to her music. Calling it punk
isn't up to par on words. She was an image of the reblious women of the 80's
which kicked in and kept going. She took the vulgar acts of the men from the
late 70's and brought it to equality with the female gender. BUT this was
exactly what all us glam rockers/stoners enjoyed about her performances.
And yes Jared, Reform School Girls sucked, but she was really cool in it.

I am still waiting for details as far as how she died, where, ect....
Your right, calling it punk doesnt do the Plasmatics justice. More like
loooud angry socially consious (for its time) performance art. I still
remember the video where she had built an entire town in the desert, and the
finale was her driving a cadilllac up a jump ramp, and at the last minute,
she jumps out, the cady goes up the ramp, into this town and explodes,
taking the whole town with it. I don't remember what the song was, but the
video was great.
For those of us who are REALLY old, she was also in a few porno flicks, most
notibly where she shot ping-pong balls out of her vagina. Don't ask, it
just looked cool.
