Perry Poley of NYC Rocky Horror is NOT dead ( for anyone concerned ) !

The following was posted here on the newsgroup at the request of long
time Rocky Horror fan & performer Perre Poley...

Okay, here is the situation: Perre ( the correct spelling of his
first name is Perre, not Perry ) and another old 8Th Street Playhouse
performer from way back had a falling out a little while back. After
their friendship dissolved, the ex-friend decided that it would be a
fun idea to contact a lot of people in the Rocky Horror scene that know
Perre and tell them that Perre had died of an HIV related illness. (
nice guy, huh? )

This has caused some problems: people have been calling his home to
offer condolances and are amazed/surpised/shocked when Perre answers
the phone, and the reaction of the people that have been coming to his
house to pay respects to Perre's family (only to be greeted by Perre at
the front door, alive and well) have been even more dramatic:
everything from tears of happiness to extreme anger at the guy that
told them Perre was dead to one poor guy that screamed and almost
dropped over.

To anyone that heard the rumor that Perre has passed away, please be
advised that while Perre is still fighting cancer, he is still alive,
relatively healthy, and a loooong way from pushing up daiseys. And
please ignore anything you hear to the contrary from anyone passing
this false rumor on, especially if it's from a person with the initials
M.G.

Of course Perre isnt dead!! He has way too much more mayhem to fulfill
before he starts thinking about leaving. Not to mention that awesome
village he keeps in his basement!!

No, the problem was constant obits for people not even remotely
involved with RHPS. Even if it were an obit, it would be acceptable to
do one for Perre/Perry.

I was referring, jokingly, to the Franco mention. Im actually too damn
old and politically incorrect to give a shit about whether I can/can
not post an obit any time I feel the urge. For the most part I dont
give a rats ass, but I do have one question: would it have been deemed
incorrect to mention the very sad passing of Dana Reeve considering she
was one of Susan Sarandons best friends? That gave me pause at the
time, and I just thought Id bring it up to see what the general opinion
of all the 10-20 people left on this group would be.

I knew where all the floweers had gone. I was sad to here about Dana's
passing she had done great work in the charity world. Love to you. I
