I am about to begin the posting of all the tarot readings which questions have
been sent to me. Since I promised all posts to be sent on New Year's Eve, I
begin with those from Australia. I wish all of you a happy and healthy New
Year. I hope that the answers are what you want. I have a 98% accuracy level
and I always tell what answers I get from the cards. I hate to hurt anybody's
feelings. Remember, these are readings from the Tarot Cards and NOTHING is for
sure or set in stone.

Understand that nothing in these readings are personal and you should take them
more than just a serious "for sure" thing but as entertainment. For those
who's answers come out good and positive, I pray that it all works out that
way. For those who's answers don't come out the way you were hoping for, I am
very sorry. I may be wrong and I always hope I am wrong on those answers. I
am very happy that most of the answers came out quite positive.

I wish to thank all of you who participated and hope that those who didn't are
not upset about tarot readings. I am an empath and I love doing tarot readings
in RL. It was a pleasure to do it for all my friends here in the meadow.

NannyOwl - Date of birth 21.8.30 don't know what time!
And the question? Well...I have been collaborating with a friend on a
historical 'bodice ripper' novel. So my query is, will it find a publisher?

This needed more than one card to get your answer. Your first card indicated
some problems. The card is "Justice, Reversed". It indicates that you are
spending so much time collaborating that you are not seeing the whole picture
logically. I tend to see some legal problems. Your next card is the Two of
Swords, Reversed. This card indicates that you will make a decision because
you are now at a crossroad in your career. Once you solve your legal problems
and all the nitty-gritty details, the balance of your situation will turn in
your favor. I see your novel being published very clearly at that time.

Kanga2 I'd love a tarot reading but I'm not sure what to ask. I guess what
I'd really like to know is how things will go for me financially next
year. Hope that's not too tough :) Looking forward to the result :)

Ah, MaryAnne...I haven't received a money question yet. Well, let's see what
the cards say about your 1998 financial picture.

I have picked the Five of Wands, Reversed. What this means is that conflicts
are fading but sometimes it signifies resentment, passive agressiveness, or a
similar, more subtle, sly form of conflict. I wouldn't advise you to get into
a fight...but I sense a hint of conflict in the air so please pay attention.

I picked the Ten of Pentacles/Coins next. This card is the crossing card.
It crosses over what is happening right now (the five of wands) and it means
that you are in a rut right now and are having a problem completeing a cycle
and moving on. It shows a problem with family members. It also shows a
staleness in a professional situation. But it shows that the situation has
reached it's peak already. It's stuck, though. (A bit stagnant.)

I picked you a third card. This card is the ace of cups, reversed. This
card explains that a new creative and emotional experience is on it's way. It
seems, right now, that the opposite is true, but be assured that this is coming
in 1998...in a big way. New relationships, a child, an important new creative
project--this card can signal any and all of these. Although good things
always happen, when the Ace of Cups shows up, what is more important is the way
it makes you feel--full of love, and open to the divine creative force of the
Universe. There will be something good that actually happens that is
responsible for this lovely new feeling. Enjoy it. The Ace of Cups doesn't
promise riches or success--but what it does promise is far more
valuable--happiness!!

So, in summation, your reading shows the personal turmoil you are going
through right now. It's at it's peak and is ending. It's stagnant now but in
the year 1998, something wonderful is going to happen to you. This will not
come to you in monitary value but in a personal feeling of wealth which money
cannot buy. Have a wonderful 1998, MaryAnne. Hugs 'n Cuddles.

Happy New Year!

Glynis
Female
10 August 1957
Did my mother see my wedding and if so, is she happy for me?

Glyn, your card is the Nine of Swords, Reversed. This card states that you
have been worrying about your mother. But you should stop worrying. This card
shows a relief in the mental torture you have been going through....or you will
emerge from it.

This card was followed by the Ace of Swords. It's a very good sign, Glyn.
It represents communication between you and your mother. Your mother is
sending you a message. I think that you have felt this inside you. This card
indicates that she believes you are on the right track and are able to focus
your mind and harness it's enormous powers towards the realizations of your
ideas and dreams. She's right beside you. She's been there right along. And
she was at your wedding. She's happy where she is and she's thrilled about
your situation. There is a great aura which surrounds you and your mother has
taken the role as your guardian angel.

Hugs for joy, Glynis. And HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I wanted to see if you could do a reading for me. Chuck born 8/31/66
Question: My grandmother died when I was seven and I only have fond vague
memories of her now. Is she still connected to my world and watching me?

Thank you Rita, this is quite a wonderful gift you are giving to the cuddle
family. Would you like a poem?

chuck

Dear Chuck,

You're welcome. A poem is always appreciated. I hope I can answer your
question in a way you can understand. I hope it doesn't disappoint you.

Fondly,

Rita

Regarding your question, your card which was picked just for your particular
question was the 5 of Cups. What this card means is disappointment and
emotional loss with a bit left over for yourself. This tells me that the
spirit of your grandmother is no longer present at your side, but it tells me
that the inner spirit which she gave you back when you were 7 years old is
still left inside you. This inner spirit will get you through your rough
periods. I see you having a hard time letting go with this thought but you
must. Don't dispair.

Your grandmother left you with so much love and understanding that you will
build on what has been left to you. This will help to make you a better
person. Let go of trying to reach your Grandmother. Instead, build on the
lessons and ideals which she taught you.

Coven Hugs and Happy New Year!

Jack Cracker - November 16, 1974 at 23 i'm still single
will i meet the man i'm gonna marry in 1998?

Since I know who you really are, I did a two card reading for this one. I can
see from the first card, the Two of Swords, Reversed, that you will find a
mutual understanding with a person you will be with rather soon but there is an
obstacle in your way. Your next card has to deal with any man in the year
1998. This card is the Six of Pentacles (or Six of Coins). This card indiates
that you will be successful in your hunt for the man who will share your dreams
and your heart. I see in this card that in the year 1998, you will know the
man you will eventually marry. It may not be the man you are currently seeing,
since there is some kind of obstacle in the way of that relationship which must
be dealt with or it will not succeed. If it fails, don't be upset. Your
future husband will be in your life during the year of 1998.

Congratulations.

My name is Graham. My date of birth is 31 December 1967. Ok, at the moment i
am wanting to make a career change but i am unsure of which path i should realy
choose. Up until now i have generally been a landscape gardener but it has not
been giving me the same enjoyment it used to neither is it leading to any good
future prospects. I have decided that i should try to get a career in one of my
other hobbies which are :-

computing - i have had variouse computers now for about 7 years and enjoy
variouse aspects of its use and i am presently doing a technical
support course.

Marine - I have been interested in the ocean and the life contained within
biolagy it's vast expance.

There is also the fact that i like to write science fiction and was advised by
two english teachers to try writing despite my terible spelling.

Which career would i get the most fulfilment from, and would be the best road
to take.

Your card is the Prince/Brother/Knight of Cups, Reversed. This card indicates
that your creativity is blocked in some way. Your work right now is
artistically shallow or too trivial. You need to gain commitment or
discipline. It is definately a sign that you should leave the area of
landscape/gardening. A second card, the Queen of Wands, Reversed, indicates
that your conflict has something to do with your personal life. Something is
making you frustrated. A little more attention in your personal life can bring
the harmony you need in order to make the career choice.

Your reading required a third card. This one is the Ten of Swords. This
final card indicates that the end of your troubles are in sight. It indicates
a death or an end of a phase in your life but not an entire situation. You
will be making a change which will require a sacrifice. But that will make you
much happier as a result.

As a birthday present, I picked a fourth card. This one will be what you
should be looking for. This card is The Lovers. It usually has to do with
relationships and encounters of love, but when it relates to a career, it means
a relationship of the heart. All indications point to creativity as a passion
of yours. Spelling is not a factor. Computers come equipped with
spell-checkers and you can always get someone to proofread for you. I see this
card indicating that you should follow your heart in making your career choice.
I think there might be a way to combine all three into your one career
passion. You can write....using your computer skills and training....and
focusing your topic on science fiction using marine biology as the base of the
subject matter. You can continue to study marine biology as research for your
writing. You'd be surprised where the knowledge you gained from your landscape
work can help you in your writing, too. I am getting the impression that this
is the way you should focus your career choice.

Happy Birthday Graham Jack Clark - aka Dolphin. (permission to use his name
was given)

Melissa, female, 9/10/75, will I become pregnant in the next year?
(Hubby and I have been trying for 3 years now). Thanks again :)

Your card was the King of Cups, Reversed. This card indicates that you and
your husband have been trying TOO hard to become pregnant. It's asking you two
to ease up a bit and relax. Your next card was the Empress, Reversed. For a
woman, it can point to a physical problem with reproductive organs. Knowing
that this is not the answer you are looking for, I asked for another card.
This card was death, reversed. This card is not as bad as it seems. It shows
a transformation, a realization of what is happening. You and your husband
should consult a physician about the possibility of a blockage or infirtility.
If this is the case, your final card would indicate that an "alternative" be
made which will eventually lead to the happiness you and your husband seek.

Happy New Year.....and lots of CovenHugs, too!

First name - John
Sex - 7 years ago (Are you sure this is relevant?!!!!)
Date of birth - 17th May 1951 (A very good year!)
Question - Should I stay with present employers?

John, your first card was the Three of Wands, Reversed. It shows an annoying
kind of situation that all of us have to deal with from time to time...namely,
doing something that you don't like doing. Not only do you dislike it, but you
feel it's a waste of time, attention, energy and talent. I picked a 2nd card
for you. That card was the Eight of Swords, Reversed. This means that nothing
will hold you back. You are now in a position to see whatever was standing in
your way before, is not actually doing that. This allows you to move forward.
This could either be a promotion with your current employer or another job in
which your talents are recognized and you feel fulfilled.

Name's Jahna Derr, birthday is 03/28/60, and I'm female.

There's been something I've been searching for my whole life and it seems
always to elude me... Will I ever find a loving husband? One that will stay
with me the rest of our lives? Or, will I spend the rest of mine just wishing?
Is there any
way to tell WHEN?

(I wouldn't mind finding one wearing a big red bow under the christmas
tree, but that is just wistful thinking, I know.)

Jahna, ::GoodWitch smiles:: your card is the Four of Cups, Reversed. This
card means that you have been feeling dissatisfied, unsettled and even cheated
by life. Your eyes are now opening up and you can see that what you have been
looking for has been there all along. A second card, the Two of Swords,
Reversed, indicates that you had a choice before...but that choice has become
obvious and a decision is finally made. Your past is indicated by the Ten of
Wands. This means that things have been difficult and you have carried a heavy
load. You have found it necessary to put in a great deal of effort to resolve a
situation. The final card is the Angel or Judgement. This shows that you have
a strong guardian angel working with you. It's a wonderful card. It shows
triumph and a new life...beginning right now. It shows you making an
important decision by using your past experiences to become resurrected into a
wonderful future. I see this as finding that loving, caring and dedicated
husband you have long been searching for.

What is in the cards for the relationship between Barry and I? (Barry:
Male, 4/21/54)

You are free to use my name.

Your card is the Three of Swords, Reversed. This card means that you have
suffered a little bit of sorrow but it seems to be getting better. Your next
card, the Ace of Wands, Reversed, indicates that there is a sexual encounter
but something seems to have backfired....or arguments which have been plaguing
your life. A final card, the High Priestess indicates that you already seem to
know what your relationship with Barry will be. It indicates more of a
spiritual relationship rather than a physical love. It does show love, but not
in the physical sense that you might be looking for.

What a generous gift of your time! I've never had tarot cards read for
me, but have always wanted to. Thank you for fulfilling a wish! Well,
you know my alias - Chellie. As my name suggests, I'm female. My date
of birth is 7/10/56. Will my husband's feelings of self-worth improve?
If that question isn't specific enough (I've never done this before so I
don't know what kind of question works best), then there is this one:
Will my mother's cancer improve?

Chellie, your question is just fine. You're welcome, too.

Your card is The Devil. This card indicates difficult energy. It indicates
facing personal demons and our own weaknesses. It seems that your husband has
a problem with wanting all those things of worth and material but having the
lack of confidence in himself to obtain them. A second card picked was the
Queen of Swords, Reversed. It shows that he is unable to resolve the sorrow or
emotional difficulties facing him right now. It's like a thorn in his side.
With time, he might get over it. This card indicates that he has to have faith
in his own abilities or he will never get out of his rut. He believes he can't
do it...so he won't try. Maybe some incouragement from an outside (neutral)
source will give him the confidence in himself he needs.

Here's a few extra "hugs" for him. I hope it helps.

Happy New Year and lots of Hugs to go with it!

<giggles> Thank you for the chocklate cream pie...was delicious...but now I
feel ever so slightly sick <g>...

I've never had a tarot reading before, and I have so many questions I don't
know where to start! No point asking if my marriage will be happy since my
divorce is almost final...strike that one off the list!

The info you need: my name is Andrea (Robinson), I'm female (at least I was
last time I checked), my DoB is 7th March 1966, born in the UK at 7.45pm.

My question is....uumm...<consults list...picks a question at random>...I
have a friendship/relationship with David, I met him online...is it going
anywhere or should I just accept it as having been fun while it lasted?

<smile> I'm trying not to act like a besotted faerie...but he's just *so*
cute!
Could you please e-mail the answer to me? I'm on holiday from 28th Dec to
7th Jan so I might not see it, I don't know how long my amazing new
newserver keeps stuff...
>>
Yes, Andrea...all tarot readings are being sent via email as well as posted to
the newsgroup. I'm hoping this will assure that you will get to read the
answer to your question.

Now, for your question.....The card I picked for you is The Moon. Your card
can signify amazing visions, and a magical feeling that nothing can go wrong.
It can show a magical state, but one not subject to our undertanding of right,
wrong, reality or truth. But that is just delusionary, dreams and fantasy.
It's great while it's happening but it's not a lasting relationship.

Andrea, knowing how "cute" David is, I thought you might appreciate a 2nd card
just to clarify the first. This card is Strength, reversed. When Strength
comes up in the reversed position, the message is very clear. You are
exhibiting a weakness right now....not strength. You might think differently,
but it's the truth. It shows trouble with the sexual dynamic. Either the
sexual energy is too strong, unreliable or is weak.

In both cases, I am reading that you are thinking with your eyes and heart and
not your common sense. I see a wonderful relationship between you and David.
If it is physical...it will be just that...then it will end. It's not
something that will be the forever type of relationship I think you are looking
for. I don't see him as your life mate. Enjoy the time you have together,
though. That part will be very good.

Have a Happy and Healthy NEW YEAR 1998.....Tons of HUGS!

Dearest Hytzipky,
Actually, I have thought of a question.
I had a friend I was very close to for a long time. We got on really
well, but around four years ago she seemed to give me the cold
shoulder, and I don't know why. I asked her a few times what the
problem was but she wouldn't say. Over the next few years there were a
few awkward meetings in which I would try to be up-beat and friendly
but to no avail. After about three years of trying to maintain a
one-way friendship, I wrote to her and said I'd love to stay friends,
but it wouldn't work if she didn't want it to, and that if that was
the case, she should stop pretending. I haven't heard from her since.

My question isn't 'will she get in touch again ?' because I already
know the answer to that, (she moved to M.I.T.) but 'What was going
through her mind ?' when she suddenly walked away from what was a good
friendship ? My ego isn't so fragile that I get hurt every time
someone says 'Streaky Badger, I don't like you' but I think it's very
important to try to learn by understanding others, so your insight
would be much appreciated.

For info, my date of birth is 10/10/67, and I have had one other tarot
reading in the past with one spookily accurate feature which no-one
could have known about or guessed !

Massive thankyous and Merry Christmas Hug-Spells,

Streaky Badger

The card picked is the Ten of Pentacles (or Ten of Coins) reversed. This card
indicates a rut that you are in right now. It shows a situation which has
already reached it's peak but it's become stuck or stagnant. You are not able
to complete a cycle and move on. This situation you have with your ex-female
friend is becoming more of an obsession because until you find some kind of an
answer, you cannot go forward.

I picked a second card for you. This time I came up with the King of
Pentacles (or Coins), reversed. A second card is used as a crossing card. It
tells you a lot about the situation. This card is a warning to you to loosen
up. You are judging yourself on something which may or may not have happened
in the past.

A third card was necessary to bring out more of this situation. The third
card deals more with the past than the present or the future. This card is
Death, reversed. This is a difficult but not a bad card. It shows a situation
which is NOT going to change. It's dealing with you facing the end of a
situation and accepting it but you are still resisting this finality of the
situation.

A fourth card for you to show the future is the King of Cups, reversed. This
card shows emotional discomfort leading to over compensating in some way. You
are overextending yourself emotionally. It's a tendency for you to think that
you can do more than you can and to say or even promise more than actually is
possible for you. I can't explain how substance abuse comes into this picture,
but the King of Cups, reversed points to a possibility of this in your
situation.

Now I have come to the ultimate card. Destiny. The Ten of Cups. I picked
this card because I couldn't get the full picture of your question with 4
cards. This happens sometimes. I have gone as far as 11 cards for some. This
is the destiny card, the Ten of Cups. It shows a smiling family. It even
shows a rainbow. It is not so much the "peak" emotional experience, as it is
the "fullest" (happy) emotional experience. It shows a completion or
experiencing the final stage of an emotional progression. In any event, this
is a happy card with specific references to home, family, marriage and other
circumstances traditionally thought to confer, or at least represent, emotional
bliss.

In other words, I am getting the story that you have an emotional tie with
your ex-girlfriend and an obsession which you have not allowed you to let go.
She doesn't want you and you cannot accept that. It shows that the situation
as you knew it is no longer there so you have to find a way to break free from
whatever hell you are putting yourself in. You need to go forward in your life
to get out of that rut. Once you do, I see complete happiness in store for
you. The kind of happiness you are denying yourself right now. That will
include emotional fulfillment and a culmination of all your hopes and
desires...marriage and a family. The happily-ever-after type of experience.

This might not answer your question about why she left but it does answer the
question that she is not planning to come back and you have to let go of the
reason why. It might be nothing more than something in her own mind and not
anything which you did.

Hugs to you, Streaky Badger.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Getting a question from this KiTA is like pulling teeth. This one came via
the Immediate Message system of AOL. I'm still waiting for him to get a REAL
question together...but, until then...

My Name is Alexander R. Kovnat, occupation: engineer, Home: West Bloomfield
Township, .... what other inputs do you need for the Tarot reading?
Hytzipky: I need your date of birth (mo/day/year) and a question which
you wish you knew the answer to. It can be about a relationship, a dead
person, a job situation, money, your kids, any part of your future...you name
it.
Akovnat: date of birth 25 April 1949

how can i pursuade michael (older son born 25 may 1983) to work harder in
school?

Formal Email question: My own d.o.b. is 25 April 1949, older son Michael was
born 25 May 1983.

How can I get him to study harder in school and what are the prospects?

Hope that will help you put on a good display of Tarot card reading.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alex, the card I picked is the Two of Wands. This card means possibilities
and new opportunities arising. It's a favorable card for your son. For you it
signifies that you need to gain a positive and optimistic attitude and see that
your son is capable of developing into something very spectacular on his own.
This card is a pioneering card. It speaks of opportunity and new lands to
conquer. This must be done by your son alone. You have to learn to step back
and not try to make your son do this. He will see this on his own. Your
overindulging of your ideas to him could make him run in the opposite
direction. He is a smart boy and will achieve a possitive end with great
opportunities waiting for him. You've set the fire. It's time for him to take
it and run to the finish line.
Happy New Year! Hugs 'n Cuddles!
For Hixie, female, born Feb 4, 1950:
What is most important for me to accomplish in 1998,
and how can I best prepare to do so?
Hixie, I picked the Page/Prince/Brother of Wands, reversed. This card means
that right now, you may rush into some things which you aren't able to see
through. When the going gets tough...you move on. This is just a temporary
thing. I picked a crossing card. This card crosses over the card of your
present existance. This is the Nine of Swords, Reversed. It means that you
shouldn't worry. If you have been worrying, that part is now behind you. It
shows you emerging from a kind of agonizing mental torture....lessening your
anxiety.
I have picked one more card for 1998. This is the Ten of Pentacles/Coins.
Your card states that you might be finishing an important task or consolidating
your position in an important way. Family matters will go well and it will be
a great year for improving your home and being with your family. This card is
the completion of a worldly and material cycle. Home, family and the
heightened experience of the everyday will be of importance. What seems to be
highlighted is friends, community and movement in the accomplishment of long
range goals. It's a satisfying card, but satisfying in it's statis. You are
where you are, and it's a good place to be. In 1998 you have success in your
work and in your home, perhaps even reaching a satisfying and desired apex in a
professional or family matter. Your position is consolidated and rewarding.
In 1998 you have reacched a pinnacle. It's a comfortable end to a cycle
concerning work, possessions, worldly good, or one's physical circumstances.
Don't worry about being prepared for it. It will show itself to you in just a
short time (within 3-6 months). And you will feel good about what it
means...resting and protected by the fruits of your labor and completion of
your work.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hugs Galore!
Connie (Ficticious)
Born: 02-25-1943
Male
Question: Where will I live in 2005?
Well, Connie <g>, I have shuffled the cards based upon your question. I have
cut the deck to reveal your card. This card is the Ten of Swords, Reversed.
What this card means is that your troubles are not as severe as they could be
and will not bring you ruin but they will linger on. You can expect to deal
with your troubles for a while until you can get to the root of it. At that
point, your troubles will end.
In plain English...this means that I see that you have or are having some kind
of ailment which is causing you grave concern regarding your health. I do not
see death in the picture. What I do see is that you will remain in your
current condition for quite some time. You will be treated and, after you have
dealt with your problem head-on, you will cease to be ill. Your problem might
be physical, mental or both. But whatever the problem or problems, then will
be over by the year 2005 and you will be able to live a normal, happy life at
that point.
I picked a 2nd card to see what your life will be like after that point. I
picked the Six of Cups. This card means that you will experience profound
pleasure. And this pleasure will be tinged with a bit of nostalgia. You will
reach your peak emotional experience but this is not passion. There is
deepening of old ties. I see children playing...simplicity and even child-like
emotions from you with complete comfort and pure joy. It usually refers to the
measure of a relationship that has endured a lot; In which there is knowledge
of the other over time and troubles. You will have dear friends...life-long
friendships and love.
Hugs, Connie and Happy New Year!
I want to know if buying a painting that is a depiction of my patron
deity will help me further on my spiritual path.
Looking forward to your reply,
*Pandacuddles*,
Kathy
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The card I picked for you is The Magician. What it means is that you are in
control and should be able to mobilize people and/or resources to work for you
as if by magic. The performance of skills is at the heart of the Magician.
The strength is dexterity and the weakness is trickery--performance of skills
for someone elses own sake and for the purpose of deception or thievery.

What this is saying is, the picture itself is not going to create the path for
you but it will help you to become focused and in control of what you need to
do in order to get in touch with your spiritual forces. You hold the key here.
If the picture gives you that strength, then buy that picture. If you feel
you have the ability to find that resource within yourself to gain that
spiritual connection, then you really don't need that picture. It's up to you.
The picture appears to be the crutch or magic you need to gain that strength
inside you. It isn't really necessary, but I see you buying it anyway. Enjoy
the painting.

Hugs and Happy New Year.

Dave Klingbeil, a.k.a. Sir P'u. Male. 3/6/67.

Q: Where do I go from here?

Don't know how specific you need the question to be, so let me know if
this is too vague.

And I feel it only right to warn you that on the subject of things
mystical, I tend to describe myself as an open-minded skeptic. I try
to keep an open mind, but I haven't yet seen anything that would
convince me of the reality of the occult (and I have had Tarot
readings done for me before).

However, I am very eager to learn as much about the subject as I can,
because I agree with something science fiction writer Robert Heinlein
once said: (not an exact quote) anything the majority of scientists
dismiss out of hand is definitely worth taking another look at. So I
would definitely like you to do a Tarot reading for me.
~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, Dave....you have, indeed, given me a very vague question. It's a general
question without much basis but I will give you a reading on what I see for
your life in general. I love a challenge and I agree with Robert
Heinlein....Anything science lists as a fact is, indeed, worth taking another
look at.
I don't know why, but my empathic side is telling me that what you need is a
complete - 10 card reading. I don't usually do this on a freebee but I'm
making an exception. If I see things differently, I will make it a short
reading but I feel strongly that you will need the full 10 cards to see what is
in store for you during 1998. You did ask for a vague area so anything and
everything is possible.
The first card I have picked for you is The High Priestess, Reversed. This
card indicates where you are right now. It's the significator (or the covering
card). It reflects the situation you are in at the present time. This card
means that you are not seeing things clearly. You are not listening to, or are
unable to hear your own intuition. You just can't know the future right now
because you are not really hearing the messages from your subconscious. It's
telling you to come down from your pedestal and get involved in the sensual
world, again. But, since you aren't paying attention, it doesn't matter what
the card says to you.
Your second card is the Crossing Card. It describes the situation which is
generating the conflict and obstructions in your immediate presents. It's
causing the blockage in your life. This card is the Eight of Swords.
What this means is that you are stuck right now. Even though it seems you
should be able to move, you are not able to do so. You are being held back.
It should be easy for you to move forward, but forever what reason, you are not
seeing the picture correctly, and are not able to do so. Wait until that
reason becomes clear to you or you could make matters worse.
Your third card is the Crowning Card. This is the atmosphere which hangs over
your head in the immediate present. This is the Page/Brother/Prince of Cups,
reversed. What this means is that you are letting your romantic dreams and
imagination get the best of you. It's great if you are an artist and a
dreamer...but unless you are disciplined and committed, it doesn't mean much,
in the real world. For a person seeking romance, it shows someone who cannot
commit to a relationship. To a person seeking a career, it shows a lack of
creative discipline. But if you are an artist, it would only show your
willingness to act as a studio assistant instead of the creative figure in
charge.
Your fourth card is called the Base of the Matter. This describes the
instinct or aspiration (drive) which is behind the surface. We don't always do
all the things we feel like doing or something we do them for the wrong
reasons. This usually contradicts the apparent reason for your delemma. This
card is the Two of Pentacles/Coins. This card tells you to let a change happen
slowly. It mentions that you should NOT go to extremes. Everything is a
matter of juggling forward and backward movements towards a happy medium. You
might be juggling 2 jobs, 2 specific projects or even 2 people. The point of
this card is to alternate between the two, without letting one or the other
dominate. Becoming flexible.
Your fifth card is called Past Influenced. This card mentions a situation
which is now passing out of your life. In the past, it was important...maybe a
set of values which you held very highly but now, it's not that important to
you. It's the card which shows what you need to let go of before you can
develope a new future or integrate your future into where you are right now.
This card is: The Lovers. The Lovers is the card #6 of the major arcana and
is the first card to involve more than one character. It is about relationships
and shows the relationship with someone very special. When it comes up in the
5th postion, it is showing that there is a passing of this situation in your
life and shows the need for you to let go. In any other position, this card
would mean that you have met or are currently with your "soul mate" or your
"other half". But in this position, it shows your true love is not right for
you any longer.
This brings us to Card #6...The Forthcoming Influences card. This position is
the position which is going to come into your life in the very near future.
Your card is the Queen of Cups, Reversed. What this represents is you are
needy and vulnerable. You are too dependant upon others for your happiness
and, therefore, too susceptible to moodiness when they don't come through. It
shows an issue of emotional dependence. Either you are feeling emotionally
dependent in a situation, or someone else is depending upon you too much.
Usually, you've gotten yourself into a situation, where you are too agitated or
insecure to act on your feelings, and too reliant on motivation or support from
another or others. You can also be too sensitive. Perhaps you are picking up
too much on what others are thinking and are being too influenced by it.
Position #7 is called Where you find Yourself. It is really an extension of
the first position...the Significator. It describes your attitude in which you
will soon find yourself and what is likely to unfold.
Your card is the Five of Pentacles/Coins. It is preparing you for a loss of
some kind. The traditional meanings are: loss; abandonment; worries;
misplaced object; financial problems. It means to tell you to look outside
your current physical problems to an available and perhaps a spiritual source
of comfort and sustenance; and a loss that leads you to look for a new path
for support and comfort. One interesting meaning which usually comes up with
this card is that of a love affair. But, often, it is bitter-sweet and
somewhat unrequited love in this affair.
Card in position #8 is called the "View of Others". It's how others are
seeing your situation. Most often, it contradicts how you will feel but it is
the general opinion of others...family and friends...to what you are going
through.
Your card is the Emperor, reversed. What this is saying is that your family
and friends look at you (or will shortly view you) as weak in your dealings
with the world and trouble with your ambitions as a result. Usually, your
ambitions are not well-defined, or appropriate to your talents. In a
relationship, it shows that you are not acting like a strong man in your
relationship (in the eyes of others). You do not see it this way, but others
will.
Card #9 is called Hopes and Fears. Both of them are described by this one
card. Your hopes and fears are the card called Temperance, reversed. This
card shows you waffling...having difficulty finding an emotional balance. You
could be indulging in extremes of emotions or see-sawing wildly about what you
feel. Hopes and fears shows a lack of communication in a relationship.
Inability to compromise...or one person compromises too much. Undeveloped
friendship in a relationship. Passionate but you can not balance your
relationship. You show emotional imbalance. You're indecisive, not calm. You
really don't have too much hopes due to the fact that your fears are dominating
right now.
Card #10 is called The Final Outcome. Nothing, really, is the absolute final,
but it's the card which represents the outcome of all the cards read. This
indicates that the outcome will reach it's goal within a period of 6 months.
Your card is the seven of pentacles/coins, reversed.
The final outcome will be the difficult situation will be lightening up and
getting easier. You won't have to labor so hard over it. If you've been
feeling that something in your life is NOT working out, you'll soon see that
the situation is not so bad after all. You will start to see a glimmer of what
the reward will be for the effort you have expended. It will be a definate
turn for the better and the end of a situation which has not only been
difficult, but time consuming and with limited results.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I hope this means something to you. It seems that you have a rocky road in
front of you but I do see the future reversing itself in about 6 months.
Please be patient and understand that you can be your own worst enemy. Try to
lighten up and take things as they come. I really hope I am completely wrong
here. I would love to see love and joy and a promising future for everyone. I
am reading that you will get yours, eventually...but not right now. Hugs,
dear friend.

Happy New Year, 1998....with loads of CovenHugs thrown in.

Karen..dob 7/20/46......question......

Will I go on vacation to the United Kingdom in 1998 :)

( I would love to visit the home of my ansestors)

Dear Karen,

I'm glad you send in your question. I have read your card and have the answer
to your question. Your card is The Empress. This is the third card in the
Major Arcana and THE goddess: the archetypal mother and wife. It represents
the ultimate in easy-flowing creativity and abundance. She is considered to be
the supreme receptor of life's rhythms. The Empress' at-oneness with nature is
based on an unshakable confidence in the natural course of events--she has
faith that all things will come to form in theor own time if they are meant to
be.

With the Empress, it's not what you do, it's what you are. She recognizes
patterns in nature and understands the cycles of life revealed therein.
Everything effortlessly comes to completion with the Empress. You are also a
cancer on the cusp...which gives you an unmatched determination to make things
happen. I see you as someone who dosn't like the phrase "it can't be done". I
picture you making the impossible happen.

What this means is that your inner desires to return to the home of your
ancestry is strong and you need to make this trip to the UK. Not only to
fulfill a dream, but because it is meant to be. The time is right in your life
for you to seek personal fulfillment of dreams and pleasures. Your desires to
visit the UK will satisfy both these desires and you will find some way to make
it happen in 1998. I do see lots of wonderful "friends" around you...and
people who love you when this dream comes true for you. I see you smiling and
very happy that you were able to accomplish this. Have a good time.

Happy New Year, Karen.

<< s it too late to get a reading? :-)

My name is Lynda
Born on July 8 1960 (not certain of the time?? early evening is all I
know)

My one and only question for the new year, would be this...am I going to
finally find the peace and happiness that I so desperately need in my
life?

I am both a cuddler and a lurker. I have been reading the newsgroup for
the past two years. I was introduced long, long ago..and have my
wonderful share of cuddles from all.

Warmest regards to you,
Lynda >>

Dear Lynda,

I don't really remember you, but I will take your word you are a member of our
wonderful cuddle family. I will give you this reading only AFTER I give you my

NewbieHugs, NewbieCuddles, NewbieSnuggles, NewbieWuzzles, NewbieLaughs,

Newbie*Nice*To*Meet*You*Greetings.

I'm glad to know you here in cuddleLand and I hope you do more posting in the
future. It's nice to see that you have been lurking for a few years but we
need your participation to share the cuddles. <g>

As far as your reading, I picked for you Justice, reversed. What this card
means is that you are thinking too much and are no longer able to see your
situation logically and rationally. You've gotten too analytical and have lost
sight of where you are. Therefore, you find it hard to determine where you are
going.

I see you as going through some kind of a legal situation. This card, being
reversed, indicates that your problems will be coming to a close very soon. If
this is indeed the case, I believe it will answer your answer. I see you
finally able to devote the time to making the life you have needed for some
time. Therefore, I do see the peace and happiness you are looking for in 1998.
Good Luck.

Hugs 'n Cuddles,

Dina

Dear Hytzipky,

Many thanks for the reading, which could well turn out to be accurate...and
I certainly hope the bit about the publisher does!

As you say...these are to be taken as fun...though I must admit I have done
them myself and been amazed at how accurate they can be.

I am loving your seance party...hic...that drink sure is strong!

reading your posts gave me chills, having not read the cards since
my ex-wife burned my deck.

if you find the time and the energy, 3/13/49 and i am at a career
crossroads and would like to know a bit about what's going to
happen.

Bill Thater

~~~~~~~~
Sure, Bill. I will see what the cards say about your crossroad in life. (but
burnt tarot smell terrible!)
I picked for you the Page/Brother/Prince of Pentacles/Coins. This card
signifies that you should let things develop slowly. Be prepared for
everything to take it's own sweet time developing. Everything comes to him who
waits, and works! The Page of Pentacles knows that even those steps in life
what seem to lead us away from our goals, ultimately are all part of the path
to our goal. It can never be any other way! The person represented by the
Page of Pentacles has dark eyes and hair. He is quiet and serious, and may
seem a bit boring at first.
He is representing you...which leads me to believe that you are a person who is
calm, meditative, stable and steady in every endeavor. It signifies that you
are able to see that every action, no matter what it's apparent result, leads
towards the ultimate goal. You are patient and enduring. You are full of
respect for nature, the natural course of events and our environment. But most
of all, you are hard-working.
I picked a card to see what you problem seems to be. That card is the sun,
reversed. It shows that it might be hard to feel the good parts of your life,
even if you know they're there. It's like an overcast day...or twilight. It's
not that the sun isn't there, but it may be a little hard to see. You may feel
that it's effects are fading. It marks more of a conditional growth and
prosperity. Perhaps circumstances in your life or relationship are not quite
as good as you thought they'd be. or, there may be an unquestionable
difficulty to be dealt with, in spite of otherwise beneficial circumstances.
I picked a final outcome card. This card was the Tower, reversed. There will
be an upheaval around you, but it will not touch you severely. Some aspect of
your life may need a minor restructuring but will escape destruction. Not an
earthquake...just a minor tremor (if you know what I mean.) It will draw your
attention to the weak spots, but won't require immediate and unconditional
attention. Repair work will be required, but not total re-structuring.
It can also point to unsettled surroundings--the "buildings" in your life
(relationship, job, home) don't feel so stable, but are not in danger of
collapse. Circumstances in your life feel unsettled, and may be in need of
assistance.
My suggestion, according to the tarot cards, is that your life is not actually
as bad as it feels right now. It's just that you don't feel confident that you
are where you think you should be. Make some minor adjustments to make what
you have work for you instead of fighting it. Look at your circumstances in a
different light...more positive and work towards making it what you originally
thought it could be. You have the tools to work with. You just need the drive
to make it work for you in a positive way.
Hugs, Bill. And Happy New Year.
P.S. Go out and get another deck of tarot. Show your wife that you enjoy them
and teach them to her. She sounds like people I know who look upon tarot
reading as a cult and "influence"...and even a religion related to witchcraft
(Wicca). But it's not related in any way to any form of a religious belief or
cult. It's just amazing how parallel our lives are to what the cards tell us.
She might be like members of my family....afraid of what the cards MAY (or may
not) tell her. Show her that there is no danger of being harmed....else we
should stay away from opening up a fortune cookie the next time we go out for
Chinese food.
