Here's the scene at a rally yesterday, held to urge that more money be
spent on gang intervention programs. That's former Los Angeles City
Councilwoman Jackie Goldberg, left, joined by Families to Amend
California's Three Strikes and the Youth Justice Coalition. They want
more jobs for youth and are against the repeal of Special Order 40,
which keeps LAPD officers from asking about immigration status.

Of Course Jackie Golderg the liberal loonie, wants to protect illegal
alien gang members by not revising Special Order40. It's time for the
LAPD to be more active in deporting illegal alien criminals. Why can't
the LAPD be allowed to do it's job. The LAPD officers union wants to
eliminate special order 40 for a reason. The LAPD gang cops know many
gang members in L.A. are gang members. The sanctuary city policy of
Los Angeles has helped maintain L.A. as the gang capital of the world.

Frank is right, and the so-called gang "Expert" with a Capital E, is
as illiterate as were the kids from the "Youth Justice Coalition"
speaking out at City Hall yesterday, with Jackie Goldberg. None of
them had sufficient English grammatical skills and enunciation to be
hired for jobs by "Employers" who need their staffs to interact with
people across city and national boundaries, and their belligerent
attitudes toward the Council in some cases, reflect the attitude
embedded in the name of their group and in how they interact with
authority in general. Demand, demand, demand -- NOT what can I do to
become more qualified?
Plus, they all attacked the idea of having more police on the streets,
saying they didn't need cops getting into their business and hassling
them -- what they needed are jobs. Well, too bad, they're not the sole
determinants of what this city needs -- cops should be enforcing SP40
and thereby, getting rid of the worst of the gang problem off the top.
These kids are influenced by it too, in the streets, in their schools,
in their attitudes, everywhere. Illegals are 60-80% of gangs like MS13
from Salvador, Florencia 13, 18th St., etc. etc. -- by liberal Sen.
Diane Feinstein's own study. They make up over 1/3 the jail
population, 2/3 of all outstanding felony warrants, and 95% of
homocide warrrants.
(One youth said, he could be in the streets making trouble, but he was
spending his time at City Hall, trying to make a difference. Guess we
should be grateful they're not ALL in the streets, from this point of
view -- but it's so different from what we expect of our own kids, in
terms of their self-discipline, and attitudes to authority.)
We can NOT pour millions upon millions into gang intervention programs
without the flip side, or enforcing law and order for the citizens who
PAY the taxes that make the city work, and for the cops, and for the
very programs these kids and lefties like Goldberg demand.
Yes, kids need more jobs, but that starts with job training and
attitude adjustment, respect for the citizens for have given them a
chance to come to this country (these Latino kids all had the street
inflections that come from either being immigrants or kids of
immigrants, and statistics show most come illegally), instead of
yelling "we need Justice," How many of them put their best effort into
school, and going to community college to help themselves? For younger
kids, internships and p/t programs are great, especially in vocational
jobs.
Their Hispanic politicians should be working at a local and state
level to bring jobs and job training programs to the city, NOT
fighting ICE over enforcing the law when it comes to garment workers
who hire illegals -- presumably not the jobs these kids want to be
trained for, anyway. Reyes and Nunez and the rest, saying on Lou Dobbs
and national tv that they can't support Jamiel's Law even -- which
only seeks to ID and deport ILLEGAL CRIMINALS -- because "our economy
isn't ready for that," shows what morons these kids have as their
"leaders."

Sp 40 is ok. It's the improper implementation, and the fact that the
feds would rather arrest mothers and grandmothers to generate
sympathay than deport criminals, that has killed people. It is this
blatant effort to trick us into thinking that only good people
immigrate that has stalled any effort to fix the real problem. Maybe
we should ask the Feds why they are still partnering with the drug
dealers from Iran-Contra.
Oh yeah, we are supposed to think that all illegals carry toilet
brishes, not AK's and shotguns. We are also to ignore that the illegal
gang-bangers are the freeway shooters who pop up whenever the border
issue heats up.
If Bratton is really going to apply the second section of SP40, and
Villar and Nunez are not going to interfere on behalf of the Mexican
Mafia they represent, than no changes are needed. But good luck!!!

I am a Chicano from Boyle Heights. I say deport all illegal gang
members! I am tired of this. Enough!!! Get them out. You will be a
victim sooner or later. Is this what it takes? Lets do something for
Americans for a change.
