Very simple (?) Corel Draw "text" query

I offered to install Corel Draw 12 on my PC, so that a friend could
bring round a disk of .cdr files every few months, and I'd print
things off as necessary. The guy who made the disk for him has passed
away, but it's always the same files, i.e. I'll never be asked to
change or add anything.

Been fine so far, but now he needs reprints of a file on the disk that
I've not printed before. Whereas all the other were plain pics, this
one is a pic with some text layered on top of it. Only thing is, the
text is about 4x the size it should be and actually goes outside the
borders of the pic! I thought it might magically correct itself when
printed (regalrdless of the screen view), but alas, no.

Believe me, I've tried clicking on this and that, looking at drop-down
menus, even quickly looking at the tutorial, but can't see anything
obvious. I really really don't have the time to spend hours training
myself on a (very complex!) product that I don't use for myself. Is
there any quick instruction that my predecessor would have done to get
all the components in line with each other, size-wise? Is there maybe
some global "default text size" definition somewhere?

Thanks for reading!

Select the text by rubber banding it. In CD you have to select a
complete item if you wish to edit it. Once it is selected you should be
able to edit it. Anther tip, once selected, drag it outside of the
picture and work on it there. Once you have it to the size you want,
drag ir back into postion
