A soft drink that tastes like TCP (anticeptic).
I have seen Sasparella (sp?) in bottles at Tesco. Expensive though (about
£1.90 for 300ml)
Only worse!
To me it tasted like Germolene.

Isn't that what the yanks call dandelion and burdoch??
Russell
I thought it was the other way around.
That's what I would say too!

I love dandelion and burdoch, and drinks loads of it, and it is labelled
dandelion and burdoch, yet I have never heard of Sasparella, only ever
dandelion and burdoch.
Kinda tastes like dandelion and burdoch & Dr Pepper all in one.

Completely different drinks D&B is based on a drink that's been around for
hundreds of years, Sasparella tastes bloody horrid!
Exactly like that!
You either like the taste or dont? I love the stuff!
So... the cheapest may be Asda.

Sasparella is basically the same as root beer, only they used to serve it
mainly in bars during the Wild West era for anyone too pussy to drink
whiskey. This means supermarkets can put it in their mixers/speciality
drinks section and charge 4 times as much.
I hate the stuff but I remember driving from LA to Vegas once with my olds
and running out of water in the middle of Death Valley. The redneck bar in
the middle of nowhere we found only sold beer and Sasperella. Would have
been happier with beer - but at age 13 my parents made me drink that shite
to re-hydrate. Bastards.
I love root beer, used to drink plenty but then I found I was diabetic and
had to stop drinking it, not found a diet one yet :(

I don't mind ginger beer but it's got a deeper taste than ginger ale, which
is another popular fizzy drink in North America. You can get tiny cans of
ginger ale here, but only for mixing with booze. It's sold in pop machines
back "home".
Cream soda here tastes different. Coke tastes different. Pepsi tastes the
same.
