FDA panel is more worried about acetaminophen than alcohol related
fatalities. From 2001-2005, there were approximately 79,000 deaths
annually attributable to excessive alcohol use. Source: Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention

Alcohol has much higher taxes.
Waiting for promotion, of smoking since the institution of such high
taxes on tobacco now.

People do anything that they want. There are power struggles going on
here. It might be time to defy them.
