Incoming Meteor Data Now Classified

A new U.S. policy decision now deems that observational data of
incoming space rocks entering the atmosphere is now classified.
For the past 15 years, The U.S. government shared classified satellite
data with scientists studying the characterizations of meteoroids and
asteroids as they crash through the atmosphere.
"It's baffling to us why this would suddenly change," said one
scientist involved.
"Systems were put into dual-use mode where a lot of science was
getting done that couldn't be done any other way. It's a regrettable
change in policy."

What exactly would they be trying to cover up? It doesn't make any
sense. Rocks fall from space and then they need to be classified as
top secret.
Maybe they want to squelch any reports of increased meteor activity.
If you've seen Deep Impact the meteor storms come before the
asteroid.

They need to keep hiding their butts, as well as the matter of their
more often not detecting squat until it's a bit too late, not to
mention the continuing embarrassment each time some amateur with zero
public compensation from us is doing a far better job at detection and
identifying these new ones.
BTW, we should be entering the Sirius debris gauntlet right about
now. When Sirius B went from its red supergiant into the helium
flashover, all sorts of orbiting stuff got set free, while other stuff
ended up orbiting light years further away. Too bad no one can manage
to date that transition phase of when Sirius B became that Little
white dwarf..

My first thought is that AF447 encountered space junk or possibly a
meteor. Though a fairly long shot, it does explain everything that
went so horribly wrong and catastrophic within seconds after being

anyone putting a satellite into orbit near them has to make sure it's

btw, that image proves the dynamic range that a modern CCD or CMOS
imager camera has to work with. If NASA wanted to, they could show
stars within the same FOV as Earth, and especially that of our
physically dark moon.

In Usenet/newsgroups there’s a great deal of dearth, meaning a serious
lack of just about everything that matters. First to go out the
window, after history is sufficiently skewed and obfuscated in order
to suit the mainstream mindset, is the whole truth as based upon the
regular laws of physics and best available science. Now it seems our
public funded spysat and deep space network of probes and astronomy is
becoming off-limits to those of us in need of fundamental data and

I just did a little research on the origin of the Phoenix myth.
According to a BBC Wikipedia-type site, the Phoenix visits Egypt
cyclically "streaking across the sky with a long fire-like tail
billowing behind it." It then crashed, set fire to itself and from its
ashes a new Phoenix arose. There is also this idea of the Phoenix
"eggs".
As I see it, this is a perfect description of Cometh of Warhol. The
ancients who have witnessed a past pole shift could have knew that
Cometh of Warhol hit the earth, causing a pole shift and igniting all
the volcanes (the Phoenix burning up).
In fact, no one knows the actual origin of the Phoenix myth, but the
most recent theory is, in fact, that it refers to a comet, with its
fiery tail. That explanation is close but no cigar as only Wormwood
would have the "impact" that would make that particular "comet" the
central myth of an entire people!
Do we need Spysat meteor observations? No, we have still the crop

Geomagnetic pole shifting or swapping should not directly cause
geological trauma. However, indirectly by way of letting in more
solar X-ray, moon gamma and cosmic radiation is going to be
troublesome if not insurmountable to many kinds of complex life on
this Eden/Earth. However, the rich and powerful shouldn't suffer.
As we lose another small portion of our atmosphere (as likely to
happen in 2012), perhaps our artificially replacing the loss of
atmospheric mass with CO2 could actually help save our frail DNA. I'd
rather adapt as to living within 1000 ppm CO2 than having to die from
the inside out because of too much solar, moon and cosmic radiation.

That's good to know. When they say "At least two", doesn't this
statement qualifier suggest they may have missed a few?
How about meteors of any significant mass?
It seems the underlying drawback to using such hardened alloys and
composites is that these kinds of critically formulated aircraft
should tend to shatter rather than bend and tear apart if encountering

Perhaps that big new star will soon become Betelgeuse, a once 30 solar
mass that's a 1%/year shrinking 20 solar mass of a red supergiant
that's going to blow. Either that or Sirius A as having lost nearly

The odds were against us all along, whereas eventually an aircraft was
going to encounter a reentering bit of meteorite or that of
terrestrial space debris. As the onset of an ever increasing gauntlet
of meteorites and perhaps even an asteroid or two simply can not be so
easily obfuscated (banished/excluded) from public record.
The passing shockwave alone from a near miss could tear the bejesus
out of such an aircraft.
